There are still many points that could be improved as well as adding new stencil, but it is a good start.

Manual Installation process:

• Download the file and copy to the folder “%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Shapes” (“C:\Users\you_user\Documents\My Shapes”; that is the default folder for the Visio custom shapes)
  • Delete all the previous files if exist.
• To access the shapes in Visio, select the Shapes Windows:
  • “More Shapes -> My Shapes -> Microsoft Integration Stencils"
  • “More Shapes -> My Shapes -> MIS Azure Stencils"
  • “More Shapes -> My Shapes -> MIS Power Platform Stencils"
  • ...

Azure Virtual Machines Scale Sets stencil

I expected a stencil for Virtual Machine Scale Sets in the Microsoft Azure Stencils, but I couldn't find it. I did find the SVG icon in the icons map, but no stencil.

Request to add the Dynamics 365 product icons

EDIT: I just noticed you have already done this, I did not have the latest version :).

Would be great if the Dynamics 365 product icons could be added to this stencil pack!

I have tried creating Visio stencils with the SVGs provided by MSFT, but unfortunately most of the icons won't properly resize when using them. I presume this is just my inexperience with Visio so I am hoping this is something straightforward for someone like yourself.

Some Azure Icons loose its layout when drag into Visio Diagrams

Azure Active Directory icon from Microsoft Azure stencil when i drag it seems loose it layout and turns grey. randomly happening for other icons too

Lock the aspect ratio of the stencil icons

Hello Sandro,

great Visio stencil tool set.

One ask: Could you please set the icon shape property "Protection / LockAspect" =1?
It should be the following Visio Cell property:
LockAspect Cell (Protection Section)

This would be very hand, as it protects against accidental resizing with another shape aspect.

Do you have any icons for Microsoft Cloud Access Security?

Different default stencils folders depending on Office version

When running the download install PowerShell script the script is not working during copying the files to the final destination. The current script copies the files to "Documents\My Shares". My current Visio install uses the "Documents\Visio Stencils" instead.

The script should support different destination folder depending on the Office version.

SVG in Microsoft-Integration-and-Azure-Stencils-Pack-for-Visio-master\Enterprise Integration\SVG

Hello.

I download de master and simply test de SVG files inside Enterprise Integration\SVG and it's not posible to view

inside a brwoser.
I test with Microsoft-Integration-and-Azure-Stencils-Pack-for-Visio/AI and Machine Learning/SVG/AI-services.svg and it works but another test with Databases and Analytics/SVG/Azure-Cache-for-Redis.svg doesn't work.

Please check the diference among diferent svg files in diferent directories to make it a valid SVG file.

In file API-Connections.svg with this header line works , I copy paste from

works right

Cannot Find 'Subnet' Shape

I do not see the Subnet shape in the stencil pack. I also cannot find it in the SVG collection in the repository.

From the Azure Portal:

Download and installation script not working

The download-Install-MIS-Azure-Visio-Package.ps1 script seems to successfully download the ZIP, however, something goes wrong at extraction or copy step. There are no files deployed to C:\Users[UserName]\Documents\My Shapes after the script is done. I am running PS as an Admin.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Subscription and Management Group Icons

Can you add the Azure Subscription and Management Group icons?

I'm looking for an SVG for the new DevTest Lab icon seen in the Azure Portal as follows:

But current SVG in the repository looks like the older icon. Could you update this file?

Also, the product pages for DevTest Labs and Lab Services show different icons than in the Azure Portal. I suppose they're the same as ones found in https://azure.microsoft.com/ja-jp/patterns/styles/glyphs-icons/. Which icon is correct for DevTest Labs?

Stencils missing in 7.2.0

Hi,

in the latest release, some .vssx Files are missing, i.e. "MIS Azure Stencils.vssx" and others.

Searching through local stencils

I have added some stencils to the MyShapes folder and they are popping up in the shapes navigation. But when I try to use the search experience, Visio will not yield any result from these locally stored stencils. What am I doing wrong?
Using Visio 2019 MSO 32-bit.

Text annotations

Is there a recommended way to add captions to these stencils?

I know we can type in the text with F2 and then use the Text Blob tool to move the text to the bottom of each shape. But this is a manual step that needs to be repeated for each shape.

Missing Azure Stream Analytics in IoT stencil

I would expect Azure Stream Analytics in the IoT Stencil. I don't see it also in the other stencil. Maybe good idea to add them to the IoT stencil because it's an important part of IoT.

Shapes not appearing correctly

These are not displaying correctly in Visio 2016. They comes up as grey when put into the diagram. Is Visio 2016 supported? Any idea what the issue is?

Cannot Find Key Vault Secrets Icon

I cannot seem to find the Key Vault Secrets Icon, this is the Icon found under the KeyVault Settings Page:

Your developer pack could use a refresh in the Azure DevOps space. It'd be great to have the following icons available:

You might also consider refreshing 'Visual Studio Team Services' and 'DevOps Projects' with the latest (or just updating the names, since the icons are now reversed):

Azure Container Apps

During Ignite Fall 2021 the new service, Azure Container Apps, has been announced.

A new icon should be added for this service.

Cannot find Private Endpoint icon

I've been looking for more than half an hour to find the Azure Private Endpoint icon, but simply can't find it anywhere. I know it exists, because I found the svg file in the repo.

The only icon I can find in the stencils is the Private Link Service one.

Where exactly is the Private Endpoint one located?

No Icon for Policy Initiative (aka PolicySetDefinition)

Maybe there is an icon, but it is labeled something other than what I would expect. I'm looking for the icon used for Policy Initiatives (a.k.a. Set Definitions).

Error (275)

Visio version is Microsoft Visio - en-us
16.0.14931.21024

I downloaded several of the VSSX files and placed them in "C:\Users\myusername\Documents\My Shapes" folder. They show in Visio under More Shapes> My Shapes, but selecting any of them gives the error below:

An error (275) occurred during the action Add To My Shapes.
Visio cannot open the file or a component in the file because it is corrupt.

Also tried More Shapes> Open Stencil and selecting one of the files and receive the same error. I have a stencil I created that works fine.

New file icon - YAML

I have seen some examples that show the YAML icon is just like XML just with different text but I think it is more like a document style format something close to:

Updates to README

I think the following areas are in need of an update in the README:

1. Describe current installation process. It appears to be to run download-Install-MIS-Azure-Visio-Package.ps1 or Install-MIS-Azure-Visio-Package.ps1 instead of using the previous manual file-by-file copying process.

2. Update the package version numbers, or remove them altogether.

3. Update references to Visio versions

4. Update references to package stencils

5. How to upgrade from one package version to another (simply rerun the installer PS, clean up first, etc.)

Digital Twins shape needs a review

The shape seems to have a size issue. Can be fixed by user after dragging too (by ungrouping), but still something that can be fixed at the source I'm guessing.

Excessive grey border on Availability Sets icon

Shape Availability Sets in Azure stencil (Azure/SVG/Availability-sets.svg) when added to my Visio 2016 drawing appears as a solid grey blob. When enlarged considerably it is possible to see a solid grey icon border and interior shape border that overlaps when shrunk. By fiddling the icon Line width (setting to 0pt) the icon appears correctly. Please tweak the icon to render correctly without Line width tweak.
