Thank for reporting this issue, it's something that we are aware of and have a ticket created to take it internally. If you have taken a peek at the code you might have noticed that we are using older OCAPI endpoints for cart and checkout. The reason for doing this was to be able to support payment integrations that we done via hooks. At the time SCAPI did not support hooks, but now they do, and we plan on ripping out the OCAPI called and replacing them with their SCAPI counterparts. At the same time, we'll be taking a look at the cart transfer and merge endpoint to fix the issue you've mentioned here.

We'll keep this ticket open since it's a good one and update it when we have some movement on that ticket.

I'm reasonably confident you could use mergeBasket or transferBasket to resolve this!

I think this should work even with the rest of cart being in OCAPI.
