As a developer, the most important feature I need from the chat service is that I can send and receive messages on my team's channels. I can join channels and leave them, and create new ones when needed.

It is customary for server projects to define a "start script" in the package.ini, so that I can do this:

 $ npm install
 $ npm start

I am a developer and I need to join the channel that my team members are using to discuss certain features of the project we're all working on. Checking the chat history is the easiest way to keep up with some of their thoughts.

I am a developer and I need to see who are the other team members on the GUI related channel, so I know if it makes sense to ask there about the bug/feature I just noticed.

When client comes back from being offline, it does not receive messages, which have been send during offline time. It would be nice to have some kind of message buffer so that clients could get messages from the time, they were offline.
