web's Issues

Plus pricing incongruent

What is the bug / inaccuracy?:

Under https://safing.io/pricing/ the Plus Pricing is displayed as 4€/Month (billed anually when having it set to show per Month pricing. This is incongruent with the pricing for plus shown, having it set to Per Year pricing where it is shown as 40€/Year.

What would you expect instead?:
It seems that only yearly billing is possible for the plus plan therefore it should be shown as the correct 3,33€/Month billed anually.

Automate Monero payments

What would you like to add or change?:

I would like to be able to pay with Monero and get automated confirmations of payments.

Why do you and others need this?:

I don't want to be waiting for days to a manual confirmation of the payment since this does not make much sense.

Instead, some automated payment processor such as BTCPayServer (which works for Bitcoin, Monero, Litecoin, etc.).

See https://allark.io for an example of how BTCPayServer looks, just click “buy” on anything and see the interface. Currencies can be selected from the payment page.

Also, any other payment gateway listed in https://www.getmonero.org/resources/tools/. The advantage of using BTCPayServer is that it is self-hosted, so 0 fees are applied.

Font sometimes a bit fuzzy and hard to read

Expected

It's easy to read long texts on the website or blog posts.

Environment

Arch Linux with Google-Chrome Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Actual Behavior

Due to some scaling (transform: scale(0.95); the scale-95 class) text renders a bit fuzzy/blurry and it becomes hard to read more (see attached image).

Interesting enough, I cannot reproduce this with Firefox!

Overall accessibility and performances

Hello!

While testing portmaster and spn (great stuff) I noticed some issues regarding safing.io website.
I took the liberty of doing a small "audit" in order to report my findings here if you're interested.

This is definitely not complete but may be a good starting point.
I tried to link references to why I reported these as "issues". Feel free to ask/disagree about anyhing I said :)

Let me know if/how I can help!

What is the bug / inaccuracy?:
"Portmaster is easy privacy and pice of mind"

Comparison Blog Posts which show the PROS and CONS compared to other privacy protections

Hi,

Great initiative, brilliant software. I haven't yet tried it out but I would really want to know the pros and cons comparing portmaster to simplewall, nextdns (or other dns providers) or a hardened firefox with ublock etc.

Currently I'm using simplewall which sends an instant notification once an app is opened that requires internet connection. It's lightweight and does its job. Why would I also use portmaster? Or is portmaster meant to replace DNS-providers and software such as simplewall? I'm confused. Looking forward to your replies.
