Sometimes when an obstacle dies, it leaves behind its health bar on the ground.

Some possible sources for this include:

• When an obstacle is killed by the same piercing projectile that just killed another obstacle
• When the above happens but the obstacle is killed immediately in one hit
• Something in the connection between health bar surface and rect
• Something in the connection between health bar and outline health bar

Sometimes when the game resets the first obstacle or two seem to still be using the old difficulty setting of the previous game.

Sources for this may include:

• The difficulty scalar not being reset before the game restarts
• The obstacle being left over off screen and not deleted at the end of a game
• Issue with obstacle group clearing at the end of a game
• Issue with the obstacle event timer going off out of sync with the game restart
• Issue with the obstacle event timer going off at just the wrong time compared to game restart

When an obstacle dies sometimes it deletes items that it overlaps

Sources for this may include:

• When an obstacle spawns a different item it clears the ones around it
• Pygame may see the obstacle and the item as part of the same group and they get removed
