Initial steps

npm install serialport

Need to enable serial port

sudo raspi-config no to login over serial yes to enable serial

If using Pi zero W, Pi 3 or 4 (so any Pis with bluetooth), watch out !

As per serialport/node-serialport#1583, you must disable bluetooth: Add "dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt" in /boot/config.txt

crontab

@reboot /home/pi/spaControl/start_hotTub.sh

Uses port 9000

Missing librairies

Hi,

The librairies folder seems to be a shortcut to « spaControl » master page. Is it normal? Node throws me an error for missing gmail.js file.

Can this be used with a USB Dongle instead of direct connection to the PI?
