Hello, this is not an issue in itself. Just a suggestion. Would be nice to have an auto update feature for this primary security applications plugin from a trusted source. The SHA256 hash of PLRGX can be verified by installation automatically, optionally if specified. For the lazy ones and to fix incompatibility issue with future of KeePass version updates with plugin by getting all in one place for example.

I don't know if you have the spare time to maintain in parallel the "packages". Which basically would contain a script to URL of GitHub latest release asset.

Another known existing autoupdate integration inside KeePass itself is:
EarlyUpdateCheck KeePass Plugin from which this Plugin is not supported yet.

Overview

Hello, AdvancedAutoType plugin crashes the latest DEV builds of KeePass.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Right click (or press Shift+F10) on any record in a listbox.

Expected Behavior

Showing of context menu.

Crashing of KeePass.

Hello

I installed this plugin this week and didn't manage to make it work correctly. I've multiple entries for the same software and when I use the global autotype everything works fine. But when I try to use the alternate autotype hotkey the autotype form is closed after 0.1sec.

I tried to rollback and install v1.12.1. I also installed .NET framework: 3.5 because I had bigger versions (4, 4.5).

Overview

Auto-Type Entry Selection will show two columns for password if Auto-Type ONLY username / password when clicking username / password is enabled

Expected Behavior

Column Password (AAT) shall only be displayed if KeePass standard column Password is not displayed

Actual Behavior

Both columns are displayed.
Password (AAT) shows asterisks
Password shows password as plain text

There are many websites with "devided" login forms. First you have to enter username and press enter and then you have to enter password and press enter. Sometimes this is changing or depending from where you are on that website.

For now i've found a solution by editing the auto-type sequence for the first username form and use the "password + enter" from your plugin for the second form. But sometimes i'm missing the auto-type sequence for the single-form-login with username and password.

Could you please add

1. The "+ enter"-option for username-only auto-typing from the enhanced auto-type seclection form?
2. Maybe a hotkey for username-only (+ enter) like you did for password-only?

Summary

At the moment, if auto-type has occurred, but there are no records in the database, then searching (filtering) from the Advanced Auto Type menu does not result in anything. I suggest adding a "Search everywhere" option, which will work if you enter a string starting with "!!!" in the TextBox for filtering, e.g. "!!github".

Example: auto-type was executed in a browser window on the GitHub tab, but the entry "github" was not found among the records matched. In this case, a search in the TextBox to filter "!!github" will find all records containing github in the record name or username field of the record.

I can do it myself and put it in the form of a pull request. If there are hints and ideas how to implement it in detail, I will be grateful.

Added value

In case of using KeePass Password Safe 2 on Linux under Wayland, search is the only option, because under Wayland there is currently no way to get the window header, but you don't want to search and copy manually from keepass search at main window, this change will be an option and soften the transition to Linux for many users. For Windows users, the benefit is that they don't have to waste time leaving the Auto Type window and searching the database, they will be able to search directly from the Auto Type window.
