I think it would be an enhancement for the UI to prompt for the post title, not the file name, and then normalize that title into yyyy-mm-dd-post-title.md. I've created a fork to do that and would be happy to create a pull request if that interests you, but if that's not the direction you want to go, feel free to close/unfix this issue.

Context function 'New Post' should ensure that a file extension has also been specified. If this is not the case, .md should be added.

In the template post file, the date field can only be called once. If it is used more than once the date format string is presented.

Just tried to install this and it doesn't work. I see the "New post" option in the context menu but entering a file name and pressing enter does nothing.

If there is a .post-template, the date format is not replaced with the current date.

Currently the Tab function is not supported if a .post-template has been provided.
