What is Filely?

Filely is a next-generation file transfer client with an integrated terminal. It combines a modern design and efficiency while you are working on your projects. You can use different protocols like SFTP, FTP and FTPS, as well as SSH for terminal connections.

That are the features that make our software special:

• Integrated shell

  While you are uploading your files you can dock a terminal to one side and run commands in it

• Eye-friendly dark mode

  Light designs can be very exhausting especially when you are in a dark environment. One simple setting eliminates this problem by changing to a calm dark theme.

• Editor inside

  Quickly modify files within the app with one click and the integrated text editor with syntax highlighting.

• Security counts

  Besides the traditional login methods like passwords or SSH keys, there is the possibility to use U2F-enabled devices like a YubiKey.

• Integrated VNC client

  Use VNC to use the desktop environment of your server or restore your server after a forgotten password.

• No monthly costs

  You only pay a small amount once.

How is Filely realized?

Node.js is used by Filely as a fast and reliable programming language.	To display the content to you, we use the framework Angular.	To connect the backend with the frontend, we use the Electron framework.

• Public Source

  To ensure a certain security within our app and in all our features, we made the source code public on GitHub and it can be viewed by everyone anytime.

• Everybody can contribute

  Like other projects on this platform, you have the possibility to contribute to the code of Filely. Everyone can realize or add new features, bring in new ideas or fix bugs.

Usage Permission

To start using Filely, it is necessary to purchase a license for 6.99€ once. Every other usage without a licensed account counts as a piracy copy. As soon as you contribute to Filely, you have the opportunity to get a free copy of Filely to develop and test new features. You can get more information in the Filely license (LICENSE.md).

Beta Phase

In the current state, the project is in active development. To become a beta tester, you can request access to beta releases on our Discord server.
