A buy & sell website focused on San Francisco State University students and faculty. An excellent example of working in a team environment with a mock CEO, CTO, Milestones, and Deadlines.

sfsu-connect's Issues

About Page

I think we can just take a screen grab of our current about page and edit the navbar ontop of it.

Registration v2

Need to add a captha or small equation to solve in order to make an account. (see professor's comments)

Need to add "Agree to terms of service" checkbox

Forgot Password Page

Need a simple page to change password...

  • question
  • (input) answer
  • submit button
  • good --> expose password change form
  • bad --> message & (-1) tries

Going to ask the professor if we need this before we make a mockup

Milestone 1

A highlevel text description for this project including the basic concept, personaes, use cases and more

Section 4 - UI Mockups and Storyboards

Follow Professor's Comments...

My understanding is that we copy over the use cases from M1 document.
From there we 'create a storyboard' with our mockups

An example would be...
Mary hears of a website through her classmate where you can buy and sell textbooks. She is used to buying books online so this offer intrigued her when she needed to sell an old book she used in the last semester. Mary makes an account online and posts her book for sale. She includes the class name when she posts the book onto the website. The next day she looks on the website and sees another user has contacted her regarding her book. She is able to communicate only via the website and no personal email, which she likes for privacy reasons. She messages with the potential buyer and the two agree on a price and location. She walks to the SFSU Library where she meets the buyer. The book is exchanged and the buyer gives Mary cash. When Mary gets home she removes the listing for her sold book.

  • Landing Page
  • Registration Page
  • New Item Page
  • Account Page
  • Inbox Page
  • Possibly back to account page to delete the posting after the transaction

Each use case has a story. You just need to imagine how it would work in reality and use the mockup pictures accordingly.

'Landing' Page - v1

If navbar is not done yet please just omit for now as it can be added later.

You can just use/make 4 fake 'cards'. We will have them dynamically drawn later.

Section 5 - High level Architecture and Database Organization

My theory is that the Professor just didn't see the DB section as it was sort of blended into the usecases.

Another theory is that we made the revision an hour or two after I sent out the email and he graded it before we made the revision.

Either way, if everyone is confused I can email him for clarification

Create Item

follow create item wireframe but instead of tags you just pick a category.

'Login' Page - v1

Follow the figma mockup. If navbar is not done yet just continue without.

Database Architecture - 1st Revision

Cody I am giving you this because you have experience with DB. It doesn't have to be perfect but lets get the general idea down. All I need is an ERD and the tables + fields

Navbar v2

Getting rid of sidemenu and tags in favor for traditional navbar
