theopenbudget's Issues

Question: How are the pie-wedge colours decided?

Hi Guys,

I've got this code working OK now with a new datasource.. but all my 'pie' is the same colour 'rgb(0,68,27)'.

I've got different 'Portfolios' names, which I thought should do the color coding.

Any help appreciated

Support the OpenSpending Aggregate API

First off let me just say congrats - great visualization and presentation of the data.

What I wanted to ask where was whether it would be possible to extend your viz to support pulling data from the OpenSpending and specficially the OpenSpedending Aggregate API.

That API already powers hierarchical viz like the Bubbletree on Where Does My Money Go or the treemaps (like this one).

[I note even if you were catching data locally for performance purposes, if the viz ran off the standard Aggregate result format that would make it really simple to deploy your viz against OpenSpending data).

Help debugging install issues?

Hi, I'm trying to setup my own local version, with the intention of getting this working with some other types of public budgets.

I'm installing on Windows 10 x64,,,

The npm install script seems to find errors in loading various modules... can you advise?

regards,
Murray

Using Open Budget for other budgets?

Hi, first off, congrats, this is great visualisation.

It seems to be updated for the 2016-2017 Australian Govt Budget, is that right, and did that happen automatically, or did someone update it?

If I had a budget data set from a business, and I wanted to visualise it the same way... what would I need to do? Any tips appreciated,

regards,
Murray

Support for mobile devices...

Hi, I really like your work, but lack of mobile support really limit the potentual of this great work. So its not realy an issue, but more a wish you could say :)

Ill try develop something for Danish economy for the 2016 budget from this project soon...

Chaning some other variables?

Hi,

Thanks for your help so far.

I'm making progress in adapting this for other types of government departments. Can I modify the UI thats says "Cost per Australian person".. to something more meaningful in my case, such as "Cost per Ratepayer"? ...and adjust the metric accordingly?

Also modify the default search box suggestion... "eg. Health", and change the "theopenbudget.org" heading?

If these were made variables in a config file, that would be cool.

regards
