Throw the exe in as RLBotGUIX main exe\rlbotguilauncher.exe
Make sure you have Visual Studio 2019+, as well as the Microsoft Visual Studio Installer Projects extension.
Open project in Visual Studio 2019+
In the Solution Explorer, left-click RLBotGUIX Installer
If you're updating the installer, you need to now generate a new installer version
Click on RLBotGUIX Installer in the Solution Explorer, then in Properties click on Version and increment the number. Then click Yes to the following prompt to update the ProductCode
In the Solution Explorer, right-click RLBotGUIX Installer and select Build
Once it builds, the msi file will be in RLBotGUIX Installer\Release - it's name will be RLBotGUIX Installer.msi
I followed the steps to set up the project in Visual Studio. When I tried to build, it failed with a bunch of these:
ERROR: Unable to find source file 'C:\Users\tareh\code\RLBotGUIX-installer\python-3.7.9-custom-amd64\Lib\site-packages\setuptools_pycache_\package_index.cpython-37.pyc' for file 'package_index.cpython-37.pyc', located in '[GUIAPPDATAFOLDER]\RLBotGUIX\Python37\Lib\site-packages\setuptools_pycache_', the file may be absent or locked.
Since you guys haven't added support for Legendary (Free open source epic games launcher) and it's impossible to get rocket league via steam anymore, I decided to try and run RLBot via Wine but the launcher gives this error 2023-12-02T07:25:10.975175Z ERROR rlbotguilauncher: request or response body error: error reading a body from connection: end of file before message length reached
if this could work then it would be pretty possible to play RLBot on Linux without having the game on Steam
