custom directory synchronisation

setup

1. activate your python env (3.10+)
2. poetry install in this repo
   • pip install poetry if don't have poetry
3. in config dir, make a copy of one of the yml files, based on your system. name it config.yml, in the same folder
4. edit the config file to point to your desired paths

usage

in bin folder, python sync.py. the correct action will be selected based on your configuration

anisynchronise's Issues

notify of missing items from client during client->collector sync

notify of items missing from client, but are present in collector

example of when this can happen: client decides to remove an item from their folder without logging it. on the collector, this item should not be moved, but it should be notified, as perhaps there was a reason for the move to occur. ultimately, it should be restored on the client

complication: the collector can be updated with new files, which will obviously trigger the client missing. so maybe this doesn't really make sense to do? overall, since the items get restored, it doesn't seem to matter in the long run
