Errbot Glip Adapter

ringcentral-glip-errbot is an server backend adapter for Errbot that allows you to use the robot with Glip.

Installation

$ make install

Configuration

Create config.py with the following info:

BACKEND = 'Glip'

BOT_EXTRA_BACKEND_DIR = '/path_to/ringcentral-glip-errbot/src'

BOT_IDENTITY = {
    'username': '[phone]',
    'extension': '',
    'password': 'FooBarBaz',
    'appKey': 'YourAppKey',
    'appSecret': 'YourAppSecret',
    'server': 'https://platform.ringcentral.com'
}

Usage

$ make errbot

ringcentral-glip-errbot's Issues

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ringcentral.core'

When running errbot, the ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ringcentral.core' error is encountered because ringcentral-python 0.7.5 is missing the core folder (ringcentral-python #8).

To resolve this, retrieve the package from Github and save into the local virtualenv directory. Use the following steps for Python 3.6.1.

$ git clone https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-glip-errbot/
$ cd ringcentral-glip-errbot
$ vi config.py
$ ./install.sh
$ curl https://codeload.github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-python/zip/master > master.zip
$ unzip -q master.zip 'ringcentral-python-master/ringcentral/*'
$ cp -R ringcentral-python-master/ringcentral/* .ve/lib/python3.6/site-packages/ringcentral
$ ./.ve/bin/errbot

For config.py be sure to include the other errbot requirements. A minimal version is below which includes the default config.py with the RingCentral adapter parameters:
