32 Bit install fails, Package internalization fails

The latest package logic a90bd98 evaluates to a non-existent link for the 32bit installer http://dl.eviware.com/soapuios/5.7.0/SoapUI-x32-5.7.0.exe.

This is because the final version of the SoapUI 32 bit installer appears to be 5.5.0.

Would it be possible to remove the logic for the 32 bit install from the package as this will fail on 32 bit Windows OS and also causes the Package Internalizer (Chocolatey for Business Feature - C4B) to fail.

Thanks

ODN

The Internalizer processes a Chocolatey package, downloading any remote downloads referenced by chocolateyInstall.ps1, downloading and embeding them into the package, the Package logic is then updated to use these embedded payloads.

Add packageSourceUrl

It would be nice to have packageSourceUrl added to the nuspec files so that there is a link from the Chocolatey Package site to this repository.

Docker Desktop 3.6.0 fails with a checksum error

When trying to install Docker Desktop 3.6.0 it fails with a checksum error:

Error - hashes do not match. Actual value was '8F36A5B306442D03A87BB80A492558C81902FDABE497AF44A39CA07C161C60A5'.

Consider passing the actual checksums through with --checksum --checksum64 once you validate the checksums are appropriate. A less secure option is to pass --ignore-checksums if necessary.

SOAP UI urls differ between x64 and x32

The sources are different. Currently x32 gets from the eviware site, whereas x64 goes direct to an AWS S3 bucket.
If you're behind a proxy, that would mean whitelisting s3.amazonaws.com.... which is a pretty large one.

The package is on eviware too, so we should be consistent. PR to follow

Update docker-desktop to 2.0.0.0-win81 (29211)

There seems to be a new version of the Docker Desktop package 2.0.0.0-win81 (Build 29211) available (I get notified through Docker in-app update.

Also it seems like there are multiple versions of Docker Deskotp 2.0.0.0 (2.0.0.0-win78 and 2.0.0.0-win81). It would be nice if the Chocolatey package could be updated for every of these version (But 2.0.0.0-win78 would not be a good version number as this would imply a pre-release)

NTFS compression issue with SQL Server

SQL Server cannot be installed into a folder that is NTFS compressed. An error that occurs is this: The specified directory, "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\", for the INSTALLSHAREDDIR parameter is not valid because this directory is compressed or is in a compressed directory. Specify a directory that is not compressed.. Please add a check to the installer powershell script to check if the directory being installed in is a compressed folder or not, and then fail the installation but request that the user first switch off NTFS compression for "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server" or the relevant 32 bit path.

It's apparently possible to use the compact.exe to show whether a folder is compressed or not. Use compact /q 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\' There's a line that tells you whether new files will be compressed or not.

Update docker-for-windows package for Docker Desktop 2.0.0.0?

Hi @riezebosch,
I really appretiate your work on the docker-for-windows choco package.
With the latest update of the Docker for Windows product it has been renamed to Docker Desktop 2.0.0.0.
What are your plans to continue
I'm in contact with @gep13 to find out a reasonable way for the community to install the latest version.

My current ideas:

  1. Create a new choco package "docker-desktop" and deprecate the "docker-for-windows" package.
  • Pro: A new package name that better fits the product name
  • Con: It is a different name as compared to macOS where I use "brew cask install docker" (cask code is here)
  1. Continue "docker-for-windows" package
  • Con: The version number jumps backwards from 18.06 to 2.0.0.0 and would make trouble with updating the package with choco command.
  • Con: People get confused using the old name
  1. Deprecate the "docker" package that only install the Docker CLI to make place for the Docker Desktop product. Rename the Docker CLI package to eg. "docker-cli" for people to download the CLI only.
  • Pro: Be in align with brew cask on macOS
  • Con: May confuse Chocolatey and users when they have installed the Docker CLI and now get the whole Docker Desktop installer.

I would love to hear what you think about that and that we find a way that works best for all.

Docker Desktop updated itself and now choco upgrade fails

Hi! Huge thanks for publishing the docker-desktop package!

I have an issue with it. Seems like my Docker has automatically upgraded itself and now choco upgrade all command fails because of it.

See log output here: https://gist.github.com/and-semakin/40ca6b750ba9fe5582b04550d96ed6f0

I understand that I should probably disable this auto-update feature and let choco manage it for me, but it's turned on by default and I didn't even notice how it upgraded itself (probably it asked and I just pressed ok). Is this an expected behavior? Shouldn't install script exit with success code if such situation appears?

Invalid checksum for docker-for-windows-beta

According to the official download page, the current checksum is:

65d962a94ddfd0018ecceadb06c870c0ffdf6b6748aee31cacd8c087efe4743a Docker for Windows Installer.exe

Your code has it listed as:

    checksum = 'C9CA352161A94A21A5D2763781C82585A0DFFEF0AF9F367EF544213BD3C91346'

Perhaps it would be better to replace that line with:

    checksum = (Invoke-WebRequest https://download.docker.com/win/edge/Docker%20for%20Windows%20Installer.exe.sha256sum).Content.Split(' ')[0]

Cannot upgrade SQL-Server-Express

Hello,
Currently sql-server-express cannot be upgraded.
Because the service run in background, the install script fail, and in the logfile i can read "Instance name 'SQLEXPRESS' is already in use. To continue, specify a unique instance name.".

By reading the docs, it looks like it's feasible to ugprade, but i need to look more into this:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/install-windows/upgrade-to-a-different-edition-of-sql-server-setup?view=sql-server-ver15

If you don't plan to support upgrade, it would be nice to add a log in the console to say that it need manual upgrade.

sql-server-express uninstall depends on gui

Thanks for your work on this amazing tool.

I was using this package via ssh and Windows Server 2019 Core. So, no Desktop GUI, total pwsh command prompt only.

Installed works great. On uninstall, however, Choco would hang. Took a while to figure out the uninstall was calling a GUI Window that depending on the user clicking a button. This GUI would only appear when RDP into the host.

It is possible to do a sql server uninstall without a gui. Comparing these lines might help:

$setupPath = (Get-ItemProperty 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft SQL Server SQL2019').UninstallString
Uninstall-ChocolateyPackage $packageName "EXE" $silentArgs $setupPath -validExitCodes @(0, 3010)

Compared to another package for SQL Server Developer:

https://github.com/flcdrg/au-packages/blob/master/sql-server-2019/tools/chocolateyuninstall.ps1#L5

I didn't dig fully into it, but the key looks like it may lie in not using 'SetupARP.exe' and instead using 'Setup.exe' with the flags on line 11:

https://github.com/flcdrg/au-packages/blob/master/sql-server-2019/tools/chocolateyuninstall.ps1#L11

Thank you again.

When can we expect the ChocolateyUninstall.ps1 scripts for MsSqlServer2014Express and MsSqlServerManagementStudio2014Express chocolatey packages

Recently (yesterday) the ChocolateyUninstall scripts were updated for for MsSqlServer2014Express and MsSqlServerManagementStudio2014Express.
Can you please let me know by when can we expect these updated scripts to be reflected in Chocolatey packages?

For example, I am seeing the older Uninstall file in https://chocolatey.org/packages/MsSqlServer2014Express. Just wanted to check if it will take more time.

Thanks in advance.

Use installer checksum to validate (and skip when possible) lengthy download

I haven't looked at the other installers yet, but both the install and uninstall scripts in BoxstarterPackages/MsSqlServer2014Express/tools/ download a hefty installer as the first step. Since the installer URL is hardcoded, I'm assuming this installer won't change between installs of the same version of this package. It should be possible to get a checksum of the installer and use this to skip download if a valid file is already present on disk, as well as to verify integrity when performing the download.

This would be useful for people using the package from puppet manifests like I am.

Fails to install when using ARM template Artifacts to run

I try to install a VM on Azure DevTestLab using the Artifact windows-run-powershell
Basically, it launch a powershell script that invokes chocolatey (I know there is a chocolatey artifact, but we still have some W2008R2 environment, with powershell v2 only, hence the need for a custom script)

Anyway, the install fails.
