Along with some basic unit testing, would be awesome to have a Terraform to create some resources and run a functional test for real into AWS architecture.

Be more iterative about what's happening under the hood and provide high level report to confirm things went well.

Make it interactive to choose accounts or receive a config file.

Wrap the solution into a docker so it's easier to run and avoid stumbling on dependencies installs.

It could be well documented about permissions and ways of running (VMs vs Services vs DBs).

Instead of throwing error or simply skipping/failing a run, it'd be great to warn user about the problem and how to fix it, or even fix it by itself.

Users should not have the feeling it worked when it didn't.
