Page Redirection not working for me anymore in the new version.

I have multiple date inputs in my form. But in the PDF, only the first shortcode gets rendered correctly using

[_format_myDate1 "d.m.Y"] // => 24.11.2023
[_format_myDate2 "d.m.Y"] // => [_format_myDate2 "d.m.Y"]

The other ones don't get rendered at all.

I get this error when i try to delete a pdf file from the administration page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf7-send-pdf, maybe that the problem can be the following file:

Contact Form 7 supports channels ("|") in the checkbox as a separator of what the user sees and what is sent to the email. But what the user sees only goes into the PDF. Is it possible to fix this? Thanks!

after moving a pdf config from another server send pdf runs into tiemout. I assume included files attachments, that are not available on the new server might cause this isuues.

Where do I find the config for a form to delete this and re-import after fixing the attachment links in the json?

• Header image is not showing up.
• I have followed all the instruction on showing the image, but still is not working with the tags [signature] and <!img src="[url-signature]"/> Have added "!" so the tag is shown.

Until 0.9.1 everything was working fine.
With the update to 0.9.2 no PDF where send as attachment anymore.
I had to rollback to the old version.
Is this a common issue?

Great plugin! Although the usage of SESSIONS is not desirable, as it is no longer supported by WordPress or many hosting platforms, since it breaks caching. WordPress itself no longer uses SESSIONS, either do most other up to date plugins.

Do you have any plans in your roadmap to replace PHP SESSIONS with something more compatible with WordPress and modern hosting solutions? It would be very awesome if you did!

Feature Request

I need an option to create multiple PDFs.
In order to keep the current structure of the plugin, my suggestion is as follows:

• We could add a tag like [addpage], but name it [add_document]. All content that comes after the tag, should be passed to the new document.
• The tag should have a suffix parameter to name the files: e.g. [add_document suffix="-client_information"]
  => data-client_information.pdf
• Adding the tag in line 1 should set the suffix for the first file
• If I don't pass any suffix, and the template contains multiple [add_document], the suffix should be automatically set to -00, -01, -02, ...

Would be very nice if we can add this feature. Let me know if I can help with it, however I am not yet familiar with the codebase.

It worked before, so either it has something to do with the updates or the recent changes I made on the CF7 form itself. I'm using the current plugin version V.1.0.1.3 with Wordpress 6.4.1.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin allows me opening the configuration once, but upon saving the configuration the error occurs again. It seems some old data are not removed when uninstalling, so it tries to load the faulty stored data again? I also tried setting "Delete all config for this form?" and "Disable generate CSV file?" to yes, but unfortunately without luck.

Does the plugin have some sort of "database" where it records the submissions?

Appreciate your suggestions for a workaround. Thank you!

With Version 0.8.9, I had the Spinning Wheel on submitting forms (form includes Upload a file).

Version 0.9 fixed this!

This is very helpful plugins, but I am facing some issue. I saw many other people also facing similar issues. I installed 0.6.9 version from Wordpress site and installed .7 versions also both are the same issue. Pdf file, send to mail, but inside pdf file image is missing. It shows (X) symbol.

Image is show in email body when i change [fil]e tag to [url-file] but not in pdf. i think this is pdf generate image url issue.

Hi to all,

I created a form where the smartphone user must attach a photo of himself taken at the moment.
Everything works, I can insert the image in the generated pdf and send it by mail.

However, the orientation of the image is wrong.
Try to explain:

• if I insert the image as an attachment to the email from CF7, the image is oriented correctly ⬆️.
• if I insert the image in the pdf, the image is rotated 90° counterclockwise ⬅️ (as if it loses the information of where is the top).

The curious thing is that:

• from an iPhone the orientation is 90° counterclockwise ⬅️ , while
• from an Android it is 90° clockwise ➡️

Is it possible to maintain or manage orientation?

Each time when I submit the form, a popup opens to show the PDF. I found no option to disable this behavior. The PDF is just for internal usage, not for the customer.

if i use this format : YmdHis i see the correct "timestamp" right to the date format input field it in admin after saving the changes,
but when submitting the mail no pdf is attached to the mail (it works with the default one set as "dmY").
I can see that the pdf file has been generated with the correct name.

( i wanted to try using date with U ou YmdHis format to obtain uniques filenames to circumvent the caching session ID problem )

The above bits are from the page before user hist "generate PDF" button on the form. The results are

1. For authenticated user - form is displayed in the browser and delivered by mail
2. For anonymous user - 404 error in the browser, but delivered by mail
   Please advise.

There is no way to easily modify the path for the temp directory mpdf uses. This can cause issues in test and production servers where the host has locked down write access to all but the uploads folders for security purposes.

A temporary solution is to update the mpdf instances in the send to pdf classes/views (send-pdf.php & send-pdf-admin.php) and include the temp url directory argument, but this can be overwritten by an update from the WordPress repository.

A long term solution would be to include a settings area where the temp argument can be set as an option in the wp_options table or default directory to one in the uploads folder which is always has writable permissions.

as soon as I activate your plugin "Send PDF for Contact Form 7" it prevents my Varnish or W3 Total Cache from caching.
I investigated it further and found out, that somehow your plugin adds no-cache header to http-response.

Could you tell me why this is the case and how to prevent this? Otherwise I won't get my Varnish working properly.^^

I have a problem with time formats.

I use fields of type date and datetime in a form. In the mozilla docs (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/date) these fields always output the date in the format as the browser set here or in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Without your plugin I would convert from the format YYYY-MM-DD to my format, whether in JavaScript or PHP. But since all inputs are transferred to your plugin, I can no longer format anything.

Example: In CF7 I have a date field, which is also displayed correctly in the frontend, as it needs: dd.mm.yyyy. In the PDF export it looks like this: YYYY-MM-DD.

Is there already an option to set that I overlooked or could you please add a function that you can format date and datetime afterwards?

text rotate not working in wpcf7pdf, can u please suggest how to rotate

If you have any sort of caching enabled then the uniqueid will not work properly e.g. unset( $_SESSION['pdf_uniqueid'] ) won't work as expected, because isset( $_SESSION['pdf_uniqueid'] ) will sometimes grab a cached version of the value.

Of course this can be fixed with changes to the server config or headers, but thats not preferable as it wont work for everybody. This is likely why WordPress has stopped using $_SESSION to store data, and utilises the database instead.

Do you have any plans of moving from $_SESSION to database storage to keep inline with current WordPress best practices?

Using the Contact Form 7 Signature Addon plugin, together with this plugin.

My domain is https, with valid certificates. Hosted on aws, ec2, bitnami for wordpress - this may be relevant as it's possible that it's a setup issue.

Two problems experienced, indicating some underlying authentication problem.

1. In settings, the selected logo file, populates as https reference. But on the "Preview your PDF" preview, it does not display. It also does not display in the actual pdf sent via email. Only displays a small red cross.
   When manually changing the path text from https to http, the logo image now displays in the "Preview your PDF" preview and on the actual sent PDF.
   Interestingly, the https logo does display on the standard preview that is shown directly in settings - the one with "Lorem ipsum.."

2. The <img src="[your-signature]" height="200" /> image is not displaying on the "Preview your PDF" preview. And also not on the actual sent PDF. Again, only red cross shown. Suspect the comes down to the same problem as the above on - i.e. I think if I edited the /classes/send-pdf.php to replace https with http for img paths, it would display. This is obviously not desirable due to overwrites.

I'm not really exactly sure what to ask. Any ideas on what might be going on here - ie this plugin not allowed to properly read/access files with https urls/paths?

I use the [reference] function.
When generating the PDF files, unique IDs or names are not always generated.
I have several files with the same name. This leads to overwriting the PDF files.

Since the latest update, after submitting a form, when I am already logged in I get redirected to example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf7-send-pdf#wpcf7-f637-p21-o2. If I submit a form as guest user I'm not redirected, but this parameter is added to my current URL: ?login=failed#wpcf7-f637-p21-o2 and there is no confirmation message from Contact Form 7. I hope this is the correct place to tell you about this issue.

When I create a radio [radio test "Very good" "good"]
and select "Very good" CF7 prints [test] as 'Very good' but PDF prints [test] as 'Very good good'

I don't know if related but the radio results also come with an extra space at the end like 'Very good' -> 'Very good '

I am using verion 0.8
when I click on save settings, the page redirects to front end of the website saying :

Page cannot be found !

However, the url remains the same as : https://www.myweb.....com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf7-send-pdf
This is really strange, this started happening right after after I updated the plugin.

Hello,

There is an option to send an e-mail to those who fill out the form, but the plugin does not know where to find the e-mail? There should be an area where we can add the e-mail field with a short code. I would be happy if there is a solution to this issue.

It would be nice to include pdf file restriction options (restrict to print and fill-forms); so signatures in signed contract will be protected. This feature is already included in mpdf, just need to implement in send-pdf.

code as follows will only allow to print, fill forms, and read the pdf, but modification, copying, extracting, etc is password protected

Hello. Please help us. Firstly, thank you for this plugin; it has been a tremendous help to our church. However, it is causing the following issues:

• The PDF arrives attached to the email, but instead of displaying the photo as it used to, it now shows a black circle.

• The photo is not being saved in the server path.

We have tried various solutions, including deactivating all plugins and leaving only the essential ones active. We've also removed the cache plugins, but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

When Cyrillic is used, the values are not inserted into the pdf file.

I am using the WP Plugin "Shortcoder" to create reusable long texts, that I want to embed in the PDF.

I expected the plugin to activate without causing a 500 error, and my website should be indexed properly by search engines.

Upon activation, a 500 error occurs, and my website is not being indexed by search engines.

1. Signature size

I use the signature addon (by Breitzstorm). When I insert the image in the pdf, the image is displayed super small. adjusting the size through width and/or height, doesn't work.

I've tested other images, they work fine. So it is specific to the signature images.

When I go to the image url, it shows in normal size (not small). (https://vdals.nl/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_signatures/your-signature-1699056163.png)

Also, there is no header showing. But the preview is showing the header.

Hi,
I really like your plugin, but I found a little bug. When using the automatic pagebreak, the header and footer settings get skipped. When using [addpage] it all works fine.

With my little knowledge of php I searched for the error in generate.php and found out, that the for-loop in line 201 is only active when [addpage] was used once.

So to fix this, there should be a similar loop after line 231. I already tried fixing it, but like I already wrote, I don't have much knowledge in programming in php so sadly I didn't found a solution by myself. I really prefer to send you a solution already.

If it is any help, when clearing all content of the PDF, there was no error. However since that is not really an option. I rolled back the plugin to v0.9.1, which has resolved the issue for now.
