Hi there 👋

I'm Rens, sometimes known as renssies. My daily job is being a iOS Developer at Q42. I've previously worked at Click.nl and Awkward, before that I even did some freelance work as renssies.

In my spare time I often tinker hack with electronics, smart home stuff and other programming. You might see me doing that over at Hackerspace Pixelbar

On my GitHub you can find some of the iOS related resources that I use, but you will also find plenty of other stuff related to my other hobbies. Including some HomeKit and Homebridge stuff.

Error on Homebridge and Node versions

I am receiving an error message for both HB and Node version.
However, in both cases I am using a much newer version than is requested:

[6/15/2020, 8:07:23 PM] The plugin "homebridge-slide-remote" requires a Homebridge version of ^0.4.46 which does not satisfy the current Homebridge version of 1.1.0. You may need to update this plugin (or Homebridge) to a newer version. You may face unexpected issues or stability problems running this plugin.
[6/15/2020, 8:07:23 PM] The plugin "homebridge-slide-remote" requires Node version of ^10.0 which does not satisfy the current Node version of v12.18.0. You may need to upgrade your installation of Node.

Cache slides between Homebridge runs

Currently, the plugin will always fetch the slides from the slide API.

However, the API is having some issues from time to time, so it might be smart to cache the slide accessories and get them from the cache when the plugin starts.

Because my knowledge of homebridge plugins is limited, I would love to have some help with this.

crashes homebridge

Very new to all this, but had this working nicely. Upgraded homebridge yesterday and now slide kills homebridge and it won't start up when slide-remote is installed :-( Shame as I really like by Slide integration with the Home app.
I have attached what I think is the error from the log. I have removed and installed it a couple of times, and everything works OK until I install Slide-remote.

I note you may not update this often, but I hope my info helps you fix it when you can.

Local API is out

Hi! Great work, really love the plugin.

Since the local API is out (I’m a beta tester) I was wondering if you’re working on the version of this plugin for it.
