The current implementation is "clunky" for our purposes.
General requirements: admin users can modify resources as needed.
More specifically:

• new schema for 'resource'
• implementation of user role privileges
• changes to reservation (schema, dbfuncs, api)
• resource api crud functions for admins

this is extremely redundant. why did I even do this.

Idea: a delayed slice will create a slice from the snapshot of a topology at the time of the scheduled resources' reservation. The workflow should still be the same (create topology -> create slice -> reserve resources to slice -> stitch resources to stitchports).

Details/Projected Changes:

• 'create slice' page will have 'delayed' option
  • there will be a placeholder for the delayed slice when selecting a slice on the 'scheduler' page
• slice column in 'organizer' page will be split between active and delayed.
  • 'active' should show expiration date and 'delayed' should show creation date
• in the timer used to stitch resources to active slices, should be a function to create the slice if it is a delayed slice
• when a slice is created at the 'create slice' page, a snapshot of the topology will be saved and can be referenced.

since the scheduled stitching of resources to slices requires the ssl certificate, then there is a need to store the ssl permanently and securely (rather than where it is stored in the session)

allows editing the properties of multiple resources of same type

You can also find the speaks-for tool (for generating certs) in the GENI Portal. Click on ‘Profile’ in the drop-down menu in the top right of the portal. You will see the ‘Authorize the portal’ link on the next page - that’s the speaks-for tool
