This repository contains the php capstone project built with Nextjs 13, TailwindCSS for the front-end and Laravel for the back-end api

Project Description

This project is a forum where users can post their ideas and other users can comment on the ideas. The project is built with Nextjs13, TailwindCSS for the front-end and Laravel for the back-end api. Logged in users can create ideas, comment on ideas, like ideas and follow other users. Users can also edit their profile and upload their profile picture.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 14.17.6 or higher
• MySQL
• Laravel
• Composer
• PHP

Installation (Frontend)

1. Clone the repo
2. cd into the project folder and move into the frontend folder ( cd client)
3. run npm install to install the dependencies
4. run npm run dev to start the development server

// Setup the database and run the migrations

Installation (Backend)

1. Clone the repo
2. cd into the project folder and move into the backend folder ( cd server)
3. run composer install to install the dependencies
4. run php artisan serve --port=8002 to start the development server
5. visit http://localhost:3000 in the browser to view the app

kuwona's Issues

The idea should be linked to the author not the user.

it makes more sense to refer to the creator of the idea as author more than saying user. this has to be fixed in the API
