Hello, @RealSocius could you create a TODO.md which specifies what is still needed?

With that i could start contributing (again).

I think we should use Google Firebase as our Database backend because...

1. it is free for small projects.
2. There are no privacy concerns as all database information will be public through api anyway.
3. It will completly remove the need for a paid hoster.
4. It is based on Googles cloud infrastructure which is extremly powerful and is nearly completly failsafe as googles services rarely encounter widerspread problems.
5. We can use Google Firebases Realtime Database for the database of the backend and
6. we can use Google Firebases Cloud Functions as a backend which would transform the Project to be serverless

Serverless has a few advantages too.

1. less energy consumption whilest idling
2. easily scalable
3. no management of servers necessary like it would be when using containers or baremetal.
