That is a known issue due to how we parse the code (!!) 'by hand' when writing the glue code in RcppExports.cpp. That has come up before, is documented and there is sadly not a lot we can do.

No worries, and thanks for your understanding. The code in src/attributes.cpp is actually quite amazing but this is a clear limit. These days we have fuller AST generator (tree-sitter and friends) so this could be revisited but it is likely not worth it.
