@Stadicus , At the step Assign LND permissions to "admin" after copying the permission files and TLS cert to "admin" one has to perform the step:
Make sure that lncli
works by unlocking your wallet (enter password [C] ) and getting some node infos.
However the wallet seems to already be unlocked because you get the following message after entering the password:
"[lncli] Wallet is encrypted. Please unlock using 'lncli unlock', or set password using 'lncli create' if this is the first time starting lnd."
After restarting Lightning the unlocking of the wallet isn't a problem any more.
I don't know if your guide is flawed or if john and I just made some kind of mistake.
Still I'd like to thank you for your truly great contribution. I never had anything to do with linux and can't code. Still i was able to set up my node even though I had to start many times from scratch because I made a lot of mistakes.

Restart Lightning with sudo systemctl restart lnd
Then try logging in again with lncli unlock
Now you should get the message : lnd successfully unlocked!

Thanks, Dropin16! Worked like a charm!

@Dropin16 , could you elaborate on what the exact issue is here?

Thanks for your feedback, I will make the guide a bit clearer in that regard.
