Well that's a pretty irritating bug... Running system("pkill vlc") is a quick fix :) I've now added --no-loop and --no-repeat flags when calling vlc. It would be great if you could update ping and see if this fixes the problem!

I'll check in about half an hour; I'm in a lecture now so it would be pretty embarrassing if ping( ) started infinite looping :)
