Basically that means somewhere in app I've to write this notice and for such small lib I would rather consider writing it myself than putting any restrictions which force me to reproduce such notices.

What about using MIT license? (BTW Rails uses MIT) or even better would be Unlicense (ie. Public Domain)

For big apps like (Firefox about:license and Chrome chrome://credits/) this isn't problem, because they already use lot of different licenses and can easily show them all, but if I'm making small app I'm not going to bother to create such view just for one or two licenses, I'll rather use some other library without such requirement or code that part myself.
