π 0xHack Adoption Bounty: π²1000 DAI - 2nd best crypto-newbie friendly app
Say 'Hi π ' to crypto newbies!
Meet 3 persons without any blockchain knowledge or experience:
All of them want to try out your product.
How did you got them interested?
How are you going to explain how to use the app and how it works?
How are you gonna keep them hooked?
The next wave of crypto adoption is going to be by people like them, but the crypto community first have to create products with unique value propositions and brilliant user experience.
Task
- Design and create a proof of concept of a blockchain powered product targeted at crypto newbies.
- Present your idea and reasoning behind technical&product decisions.
Pick one of three personas, and create something that would be useful for him or her.
You can (and probably should) use existing tools and services like: 3rd party wallets, fiat on-ramps, 2nd layer solutions, stable coins etc.
You can mock some of the non-key functionalities or external tools.
Guiding questions
- What is the intended target demographic?
- What problem are you solving for them?
- How painful is their problem?
- How many people are affected?
- Why wouldn't they just use a non-blockchain alternative?
- What is the proper technical stack for a newbie-friendly application?
Judging criteria
We are looking for a thoughtful product design, with best UX and UI.
Please focus not only on the writing code, but also on presentation, and explain your reasoning behind different product choices.
We are interested in how youβre going to glue together different pieces of crypto infrastructure in order to deliver an amazing product.
Prize bounty
Amount: 1000 DAI (β1000 USD)
(there is also a bounty of 3000 DAI for the first place)
Submission deadline
May 31st, 11:00 CEST
Winner announcement date
Judging will take place at the end of the Hackathon on June 2nd.
Additional considerations
- A business plan is not strictly necessary, though financially sound proposals will score more points.
- If you plan to financially incentivize users to use your app (eg. sign-up bonus), you have to explain the source of funds and monetization scheme.
- The proof of concept itself doesn't have to have all the working features, but the MVP has to be achievable and creatable by committed product team in less than 12 month (without rocket scientists onboard
