Yep, auth is definitely the way to go with this. I'm wondering whether it should be made mandatory in the META6.

Also, tests are run only if it's added to META.list. You can pretty much add anything to CPAN in the Perl 6 directory and it will show up here.

- Check for incorrect version strings (including an v at the beginning)
