I open the "dev tool" panel and find it prints something like
"Startup"
"Network Changed"
"Shutdown"
...(loop)
After a few seconds, it crash....

Screen now displays in black and white most of the time. I tried to stream to my PC from the same PC, well it did a bad thing. Now my PC will only display in black and white. I have tried restarting it multiple time with no luck. it will have color in the lock screen and starting up/down/restarting. I also tried to output to a different monitor and that had the same problems. My PC in on Windows 10 if that is helpful.

When i use Shift+Ctrl+z in Assassins Creed Sindicate, the mouse cursor is missing in the map and main menus

After having launched Rainway on the Desktop (server) and logged into Rainway on my laptop (client), I chose to launch Bridge Constructor Portal from the client.

The game launches server side, but client side in Mozilla, all I have is a black screen.

When doing the first time set up, it gets stick on registering DNS. I have reinstalled the app, rebooted, and flushed the cache many times. I also have tried on all the versions of the server app releases today with the same issue.

When I was playing 140, there was a noticeable Audio delay. I played the first level up to the boss before I had to stop.
I was using Chrome 63 (latest) on a Windows 10 (64-bit) laptop with no GPU and an Intel card. There was an error that popped up in the middle of play (15 minutes or so in) that said it notified the team, so I just clicked continue anyways and it continued to work.
EDIT: Just so I'm clear, this was over LAN

If you're not running 1709 and start rainway, you get stuck in a endless alert loop, telling you, that you need to have 1709 to use rainway, but after you close it it opens up again, and again and so on.

I attempted to run a game from my steam account on the web client (attempted both on my chromebook and on the server laptop), and it shows this error message:
"Error encountered in stream engine:
Bad encoding config"

I personally attempted to run Undertale & The Binding of Isaac Rebirth +DLC, and in both games, the web client gives this error.

Now while the web client doesn't show the game, the server itself opens the game up like it would if I was playing without rainway.

I'm currently using v0.1.4 of rainway, my chrome browser is 63.0.3239.132 (laptop) and 63.0.3239.140 (chromebook).
Laptop is an inspiron 15 5567 with a Radeon R7 m445 graphics card and an Intel HD Graphics 620.
I'm using Windows 10 1709, Build number:16299.192.

The error is on the client, not the server.

When using the wireless adapter for an xbox one controller on the client PC rainway will get the following exception and then stop listening to the controller entirely. The only way to get it to recognize the controller again is by exiting the game / restarting the rainway on the client.

Rainway asks you to fill in your steam username and password.
I think there is a way to link the steam account without giving rainway my login data (see steam API). GOG did that successfully with my steam account. And it did NOT ask me what my password is.
And in the login window it doesn't display the URL I'm logging into.

I think that is a security issue for a lot of steam users.

Minor issue with the game detection. It still opens The Final Hours of Portal 2, but it shows The Final Hours of Titanfall in the menu on the client.

There seems to be an issue where the stream displays in a box roughly half the size of the window with black bars all around, even in fullscreen.

I am using Firefox 58.0, extensions include lastpass, uBlock Origin.

If it helps I can list a few things about my setup:

• Display scaling is set to 125% on laptop running web client
• I use a dual monitor setup on host computer
• I am using Nvidia H.264 encoder MFT through a GTX 1070
• Primary monitor is 1440 x 2560, streaming to laptop with a 1920 x 1080 screen

Every time I launch a non-steam game/app from Rainway it launches like it did for the first time. This can be reproduced with Chrome added as a non-steam game and you will see the welcome screen and to login. Andrew thinks this is because the game is launching in the wrong startup directory. I would suggest using the steam shortcut to launch the game/app instead of the exe itself.

This is a freaking life saver.

Some games I have on Steam and games I have added on Steam which are not Steam games do not show up in the web client. For example, I added Super Smash Flash 2 to my Steam library but it did not show up. I also have Nights into Dreams which is a Steam game also not show up.

When running the newest version of the Rainway Server (0.1.4) on a Windows 10 based system and going to a new computer also on the newest version of Windows 10 I get a black screen whenever I try to run a game. I walk downstairs to my host computer and the game has started to run like it should on my host computer. This issue happens on both Chrome and Firefox (i5-7600k 5.1Ghz 16GB ram 2400Mhz 1060 6Gb 2000Mhz)

Is there a technical explanation for why this needs to be the case or is this unintended behavior? (Don't want to sound rude or anything)

everytime i try to launch the app it does nothing for about 3 or 4 mins. Then a little error pop up comes up saying it can find a thing and keeps popping up over and over.

I can't connect if Server and Client using 4G which is NAT'ed by the provider.

Is this construct supported at all ?

When the Rainway Control Panel is minimized (whether in the process of setting up the server or when fully logged in), it will seemingly at random log back out, bring the Rainway Control Panel into focus, and then automatically log back in. When fully logged in, a "Session Expired" message will appear, but when in the process of setting up the server, no such message will appear. In both scenarios, when the Rainway Control Panel automatically logs back in, it will return instantly to what it was previously doing, whether that was setting up the server or the Control Panel menu.

I have been trying for a while now to get games showing in the client but it just says no games found. Ive tried reinstalling it aswell...

Also gotta note that i have all my games spread over different harddrives

The server UI is scaling poorly on 4K displays, cutting off most of the UI

Upon start-up, the program gets stuck attempting to configure certificates.
I've tried deleting the cache, reinstalling Rainway, and rebooting the computer.

Windows 10 Fall Creators update / Rainway 0.1.4

Currently we look for the Windows Store cache on the users PC to detect game installs, however this cache is cleared by the Windows Store itself meaning installed games might not be found.

The user has to go to the games Window Store page for the cache file to be redownloaded and for Rainway to find the game. We need to improve this lookup to not rely on these cached files.

I opened Rainway client on Android TV Opera Browser, Android N Chrome, and Windows 10 Chrome 64, and I didn't see my Origin games, and a Uplay game (Assasian Creed IV - 4).
I tried pressing the refresh button, re-entering the client, restarting the server, and deleting cache (from tray icon) - none helped.
My server is running Windows Fall Creators Update Build 17063 prerelease, i5 6600K, GTX 750 Ti (encoder).

When attempting to log in to the server, the log in button's text changes to "Logging in..." momentarily, but then it switches back to the green "Login" button again. I've reinstalled Rainway, have the latest version, got the latest version of Windows 10, reset my password, deleted my cache, and allowed Rainway network access through my firewall.

The installer runs through fine, but when i go to start the sever app, a cmd box flashes, then disappears. Only error i can help with is if i go to the rainway folder and run ServiceManger.exe I get a windows 'stopped working' box.
The service starts and seems to be running fine.
I have re-installed with the new version a couple of times.

Host pc runs Rainway, web client only temporarily establishes connection to host PC and will lose connection mid game. This is followed by a lengthy period of time where it fails to connect back to the host pc and gives the same "Unable to connect to Rainway by websocket: Couldn't resolve DNS" error every reload. Same is true using other communication method.

Laptop running client was able to make connection through Wifi router... but temporarily.
Laptop running client was able to make connection through host PC's hotspot connection... but temporarily.

Sometimes leaving the client open will establish a connection and work for a set amount of time before disconnecting and failing to connect again.
Laptop running client has a steady, full bars connection to wifi and loads internet fine otherwise.

Rebooting host computer or deleting Rainway cache only sometimes alleviates the issue.

EDIT: Found out that simply exiting out of Rainway and restarting with admin privileges allows it to connect once again to client. This is a temp fix as it returns after losing connection and closing game.

I see this error message in the bottom right after streaming for a small amount of time, after this, all video freezes or turns black, however audio and controls still stream fine.

This is on my chromebook c302ca running chrome version 64.0.3282.41 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)

I'm running an i7 with a GTX980 on windows 10 Fall Creators update and this occurred on versions 0.1.0 and 0.1.1 but I can't test it on 0.1.2 because I can't log in.

Had a small issue here with the rainway installer and this came up.

After letting the client scan the host computer for games it returned a number of games (9 less) that was less than the number of my currently installed Steam games. There are cases where it would display the DLC of a particular game but not the base game. F.E.A.R. did this for me, displaying the two installed DLC campaigns I have but not the main installed game.
The same is said of Half Life 2, where the base game is nowhere to be found but both Episode 1 and Episode 2 show up fine.
I manually refreshed game list to same results.
All games mentioned are installed and have even been recently run on the host computer

I get the following error that ends my streaming session any time that I launch any game. This error pops up almost immediately after selecting a game in the browser (I do see my host desktop briefly):

Some games don't have a thumbnail, and have a black wallpaper instead / the game's title.
Hovering on those games icons shows the wallpaper, but when leaving them (when mouse stops hovering) they're back to black / title.
I pressed the refresh button at the top right, didn't help.
Client is Windows 10 FCU @ Chrome 64.

To prove I'm not stupid ctrl+shift+x opens the rainway overlay for me. Is there anyway to lock the mouse for a chromebook?
