remove plugins?

Hi, because there is no ability to add artisan commands, how can I remove installed plugins?
I can install them with deploy but I have to use FTP or direct admin in order to remove them, correct?

Update Failed error on Deploying Vendor Archive step

Storage does not work after major update

I recently did a major update from october v1 to v2 with the deploy plugin.

Most if it worked well, but the storage seems to be broken for my plugins when I try to upload images, which I attached to the 'System\Models\File'.

It throws me a javascript error:

GET https://dassoz.ch/storage/app/uploads/public/623/074/dea/thumb_7_190_170_0_0_crop.jpg
[HTTP/2 404 Not Found 229ms]

I'm using october version 2.2.11 and PHP 7.4

I thought, that was because of the still active resize plugin. I removed that manually (deleted the files and the entry in the database) with no luck.

On the local setup everything is working fine. I assume, there is a problem with the old storage folders and files on the production page.

Some language packs based on "'system:: lang. updates" have expired

In October3. x, some keys calling system language in plug-ins are missing.
eg：
system::lang.updates.update_failed_label
system::lang.updates.retry_label

The deploy page was not found

I installed the deploy plugin, after I clicked it on the left menu, it goes to the 404 page.
How can I fix this?

Beacon Unreachable

I've done all steps that are necessary. Uploaded the unzipped files to server subdomain.domain.com (also tried https://subdomain.domain.com). The status of the beacon keeps unreachable.

How to solve this?

Add option to upload the storage directory

I'm using the Pages plugin and once I start adding images locallym they won't appear on the production site, as this is not synced via the deploy plugin. Can we add an option to the deploy popup to sync the /storage dir, or at least the /storage/app/media dir to the live website as well?

No plugins shown in deploy

Hi. I have got 2 plugins that I have installed, Flexi contact and blog, which aren't showing in the Deploy screen when trying to deploy with plugins. Everything else is there, just no list of plugins that would normally be there.

Any ideas?

Deployment failed at Deploying Core Archive on Install

Hi! I've a beacon connection between local and live production.
I'm getting an update failed after hitting the button Install October CMS at the stage of Deploying Core Archive.

I'm running php 8.2 and tried with php 8.3 too. Nothing works..

Remove requirement for eval()

Some hosts restrict eval() as a weak measure to stop malware. It is possible to overcome this by writing to a temporary file and including it with PHP. Example code:

I might be doing something wrong, but it seems that tailor "plugins" are not deployed (neither the blueprints).

Max Upload Size

php.ini is setting upload_max_filesize = 256M

but the deploy does not folow through

any insights?

Deploy Installation, Error at Migration step

Hello!

I can't install october on production environment usind deploy plugin.
Beacon created, uploaded, found in my local october backend, when i click Install October CMS...

after review setting

installation process goes trough many steps, but when "Migration" text shows up for a while, immediatelly comes error notification:

"Try Again" won't go untill i delete 3 tables created during installation:

but after all, same error shows up.
I don't have possibility to install via composer on my server, that's why i've decided to go with deploy plugin.

I found many situations with same error, the solution was to change encoding in conf/database.php, but i haven't this possibility before installation.

please help me to find a solution or give possibility to change encoding during installation process for a try, maybe that would come and go? :/

Can't deploy because of deleted plugins from the marketplace

My project used to use a plugins available from the marketplace (Synder.Analytics)
The author seems to have remove it and is causing some issue for the deploy plugin.
Even though I removed the plugins from my project, I also removed the plugin from my local dev and I am facing this issue while attempting to deploy on muy staging server.

Plugin deployment failed

Hi.
Since a while i cannot activate a new plugin on remote server.
The files are successfully uploaded to the remote server, migrate process is ok, clearing cache... etc.
But there is not activation in remote october admin (no entry in system_plugin_versions table).

Any ideas ?

Installation error

Have a problem when try to deploy

Deploy Doesn't Include lang files in the root directory

Pretty straightforward here. If you have lang files in the root directory, they don't get deployed.

Check Beacon returns an error

Hello,
After uploading beacon to shared hosting when I click on "Check Beacon" the following error appears:

"Return value of RainLab\Deploy\Models\Server::createNonce() must be of the type int, string returned" on line 254 of E:\xampp\htdocs\october7\plugins\rainlab\deploy\models\Server.php

Everything is latest version:
OctoberCMS build 2.1.2
Deploy version 1.0.4

Local PHP Version 7.4.8

How can I fix this?

Update Failed - 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,

Is there any way to debug a "500 Internal Server Error" error? It shows right after "Deploying Core Archive".
There is an arc file in storage/temp: ocb-xxxxx.arc

When I unzip the arc file, the files have the wrong file permissions:

files: 666
directories: 777

I guess that causes the 500 error.

ZipArchive not install

not sure if this is error is talking about the local computer (macOS) or the remote server on Digital Ocean.

Impossible to deploy more than once on one of my server

the debug log says that everything is ok, but the UI says the the upload hasn't gone trough.

I can only deploy once, after I reboot the whole server.

any idea what is happening by any chance?

Beacon failing with internal server error

I've got a simple shared host with a local development environment with OctoberCMS installed.

When I check the beacon it returns this PHP error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in REDACTED/webroot/bootstrap/beacon.php on line 40

Deployment Failed

I'm trying to deploy from local to staging production (hosting via GoDaddy, have access to cPanel).
It starts normally, but when it's in the Deploying Core Archive, the progress bar will disappear and stops the deployment.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Install archive can't bundle up because of empty files

After succesfully installing beacon my deployment ready to be sent to remote server and install fresh october.

But on step of building archive there is error:
"file_put_contents(D:\laragon\www\october\storage\temp\60acd51bc6ce8): failed to open stream: No such file or directory" on line 133 of D:\laragon\www\october\vendor\laravel\framework\src\Illuminate\Filesystem\Filesystem.php

I found that this section has empty 'files' array, and it tries to create empty file with empty name.

Can't generate RSA key in french language

Hi there,

i'm using October v2.0 and i'm french,
i was trying to generate an RSA key but when i click on "generate new" i have this javascript error in the console, due to the french translation of the waiting text.

I have succeed to generate by changing my backend lang. but i send this issue to resolve this for maybe others french users.

Move payload to body contents - Error 414: URI is too long

I was trying to use this deploy plugin but got this error :

Update Failed
A valid response from a beacon was not found. Add ?debug=1 to your URL, try again and check the logs (Code: 414)

Steps to reproduce :

Setup plugin and generate the files and upload to production server
Test the beacon connection (was positive)
Click install october cms
Choose mysql and add the correct database and user name;
Click install october cms

After all this steps gave me this error :

Update Failed
_A valid response from a beacon was not found. Add ?debug=1 to your URL, try again and check the logs (Code: 414)

Failed to update the live database

I have two plugins SEO Manager and Mall Offline both at their latest version. I used php artisan october:migrate to update the database for SEO manager to work with Mall Offline. When I was happy with the changes, I push the local website to the live server it did not update the database that includes the SEO manager tables.

I had to go into phpadmin and export the database and import it on the live server to get those missing tables. It is a bug that failed to update the database or is there different way to do this?

doing a /backend?debug=1 returns an error 404

browsing the domain gives Missing vendor files, try running "composer install" to install October CMS

Deployment failed

when debugging, I am receiving this error from php8.1 on Ubuntu 22.4

I keep increasing the upload_max value but always this error is showing up.

Add UI for running Artisan commands

Hi, how can I change the license key with deploy?
Or where can I find the correct place to edit this in my webserver files?
on localhost I can use Project:set however the license key does not change with deployment.

403 Forbidden

Hi guys,

I tried to deploy from local env. my updated website.
However, I get this 403 forbidden error (see logs).

Anyone knowing how to solve this?

Feature Request: Artisan Commands

I would like the ability to add artisan commands to the mix. These would make it so we can deploy via cli (and also deploy via git hooks, github, gitlab, etc).

Would be nice to see.

Unable to connect beacon

I have Godaddy Shared hosting.
Uploaded the files on server. I am able to reach the link via browser.
But in backend it still shows unable to connect beacon.
Tried everything possible, but could not figure out the cause.

Deploying October v2.2 Takes two Core deploys

So I deployed with OctoberCMS after the new v2.2 update and it crashed the site. This was the error that I got:

ErrorException: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/html/procedural-tech/modules/media/classes/MediaLibrary.php:490

Not sure why, but once I deployed again, everything was fixed.

Filter deployment bundles using .gitignore

Sending dev resources such as .git and node_modules is not necessary during deployment so they should be filtered out. This will help with the archive file size.

I'm trying to make this plugin working on my localhost with deployment to test server on shared hosting,
but I'm getting this error during "Deploy Vendor Archive" phase

First I got it few times during Installation of OctoberCMS to remote server.
Whole invalid response looks like this (I deleted some parts - urls and local paths, because project needs to stay private for now):

In the middle of writing this post it suddenly started working and I succesfully installed OctoberCMS, but it's again giving this error when trying to "Deploy to Server". Again during "Deploy Vendor Archive"

Some of my shared hosting PHP settings looks like this:

Update Failed Unspecified error from beacon

I have a shared hosting in Siteground. I have downloaded the files in the server but I got this error.

Versions

octobercms = 2.1.17
deploy = 1.0.4
php = 7.4.24

Sites deployed yield an error through Swiftmailer.

Swift_RfcComplianceException: Address in mailbox given [] does not comply with RFC 2822

Event Log shows: "Swift_RfcComplianceException: Address in mailbox given [] does not comply with RFC 2822, 3.6.2. in /var/www/vhosts/xx.xx/httpdocs/vendor/swiftmailer/swiftmailer/lib/classes/Swift/Mime/Headers/MailboxHeader.php:355

Any thoughts on this?

May add fetch and deploy database and storage as feature

In my use case it would be very handy, to also fetch and deploy the remote storage media folder, and the remote database. Especially when working with smaller sites and sqlite, it's handy to work with real website content.

With this feature I imagine a workflow similar like this:

fetch data with user changes from remote
add fancy shiny new widgets and buttons
deploy to test server, and receive feedback
deploy to production

(sorry I lied, there's no deployment to test server 🤣)

This was just an idea I had for this plugin. Feel free to just delete this ticket if you don't see this as a valid use case.
