I'm currently pursing a graduate data science from UC Berkeley's School of Information (expected graduation in May 2022). I'm interested in the entire data lifecycle, from figuring out the best way to ingest and store data, to conducting full-scale analyses and providing insightful visualizations. [ENH] Handle DST

Daylight savings time (DST) should be handled somehow, as this affects the solar geometry calculations.

[ENH] Incorporate NumPy

The current code uses essentially standard library methods and types. This will cause issues when trying to run methods on iterables. NumPy can be incorporated instead to mitigate these issues.

[ENH] Improve datetime handling

The datetime handling capability is quite naive/simple right now. Improvements could probably be made to simplify and improve the user experience.

Create solar object class

A class should be created that implements a solar object (e.g., solar array) that can contain key attributes, such as location (latitude and longitude), surface slope and azimuth, total object surface area, tracking capability, efficiency, etc.

Update from unittest to pytest

Currently using unittest to perform unit testing. Update this to use pytest.

[ENH] Add Support for pd.Series

Right now, a pd.Series of pd.Timestamp values cannot be used by the solar_geom methods without looping over each entry. Add native support for pd.Series.
