Would it be possible to provide a close/cleanup function that would handle clearing any existing intervals? We are using this library and Jest is complaining about open handles related to the interval/timer used to check TTL.

This module leaves a hanging timeout in the background (_ttlP's setInterval) when the process ends.

This means that things like unit tests get confused because they see open handles.

If _ttlP is configured with unref then it wont keep the application running.

I saw the code is written but there are no type definition available in npm package, would you mind include it in building and publising?

wanted to use your library but apparently I'm unable to do so. Your packaging doesn't seem to work correctly. While you build into a cjs and esm folder respectively, your exports in the package.json point to other folders. Unfortunately I cannot import with an absolute path either, because Node then yells at me b/c those files are not declared by the exports field.

Should be a simple fix. I can assist if you want, since I recently had to go through this packaging hell as well 🙈
