@MadameMalady ah I wish I knew more about this, just figured out that using that flag for me logged more info but I'm a flatpak newb so hopefully somebody else knows more.

Is possible to run the app from terminal and see if something is being print out?

It's a flatpak, so I ran it from terminal, it didn't give me any useful information though it seems :(

@MadameMalady you have to run it with the --allow=devel
flag.

--allow=devel
unknown option.
i'll be happy to run a debug option,, but idk what it is, and that didn't appear to be right..
I definitely typed it right too, I checked several times

Yeah, I definitely don't know enough abt flatpak to know yet :(

Initially I through that maybe the background desktop portal (to allow the app running in the background) was failing on first launch. But you have configured the app right? So it opened without issues the first time.
The fact that you don't get any logs of request to Github means that it might be silently failing when loading the accounts.

I have the some problem...
i closed the application and reopened but no notification shown, even if there should be some...
I tried to run with the --allow-devel
but it says the option does not exists, I checked which are the options available:

@fain182 --allow-devel
is a Flatpak finish arg, it has to be in the manifest or enabled with something like Flatseal.
Do you get anything aside from the app version when running in the terminal?
Info about your setup would be useful.
