Thumbnail for posts
It would be nice to have (optional) thumbnails in the excerpt/summary view we use on the homepage https://blog.radio4000.com/. It'll make it much more interesting to browse.
How should we do it?
Idea 1: Use image from thumbnail field in the front matter. If no image, use first image inside the content. If no image in content, don't output a thumbnail.
Make a hugo theme out of the blog's layout
So it can be used like on https://portfolio.internet4000.com
Next up
Some thoughts…
- How would we like our URL structure for each blog post to be?
- I made taxonomy pages (example) but do we want them? It's a tiny bit fun.
- Change DNS
- Images are served from Tumblr. How do we deal with the Tumblr blog?
- I very roughly checked the exported markdown but it could probably use some trimming
update deploy to be on github pages instead of netlify
move from gohugo.io to gatsby
so it is easier to work with querying the r4/api and display data
