Adding new dependencies?

I was implementing a Dendrogram based on StatsPlots.jl. I realized that they use the Clustering.jl as a dependency. Also, they have some more dependencies such as Distributions.jl and StatsBase.jl. @davidanthoff do you see a problem in adding these packages as dependencies?

I just saw the Juliacon video on the Vega ecosystem. I guess this package is a good way to start contributing?
What should I check in the Queryverse ecosystem to start working on this?
I'm a newbie in Julia development, but I worked with the Tidyverse in the R ecosystem.
Switching to Julia now!
