Yeah, totally get why you did that, but it is kind of unintuitive and doesn't behave as you would expect. I'm going to close this as the option seems to have fixed my issue (RTFD!).

@michaelryancaputo ah yes this is by design. The way you'd get around it is to put a padding newline at the end of the content, or use the forceBlock
option as you found

I might end up removing this distinction though in v7 since a lot of people get tripped up by it. The goal was to avoid wrapping with <p>
if everything inside was inline syntax.
