Can you implement to change the speed of the torrent? like set the bandwidth max that the file can use to download (10kb, 100kb, 250kbs, etc).

I am trying to install BarMagnet on my iPhone X, but am unable to build the project.

While I have a developer account, I have no technical skills. Is there a tutorial on how to build BarMagnet so that I may install it?

I already tried installing the unsigned ipa app and using cydia impactor, but am getting an error there as well when I try to install it.

I was glad to discover that the app also sends notifications when a torrent download is completed. The problem is that this happens randomly and not for all torrents. Is it an iOS background refresh related issue?

Is it possible to link directly into the back end of rtorrent instead of rutorrent using XMLRPC? http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/wiki/RTorrentXMLRPCGuide

Installation and configuration instructions indicate that rpc.php is required for use with ruTorrent implementations.

This can cause a noticeable stutter while scrolling, if the user has quite a few torrents.
They should be parsed on a background thread.

Using with Qbittorrent 3.3.1, getting error " Unable to Authenticate: A server with the specified hostname could not be found". This is only using http, using IP or dns name results in the same error.

1.9.2 installs fine on 10.2 ipad pro. It runs and adds torrents from websites just fine but the usual green banner at the top that indicates that you've added a torrent seems to fly from the bottom of the screen to the top in a split second without pausing to show itself.

I don't own a domain and use No-IP Dynamic DNS for my site. I therefore cannot use Let's Encrypt to issue a cert that will be trusted. Due to this, I cannot connect using BarMagnet on iOS. Is there a way to connect to my Deluge server and manually "trust" the self-signed cert or is this a security restriction of the libraries used?

Curious to know if you've attempted distribution on the app store. Currently, I forked and am using ad-hoc distribution to get it on my devices. Not an issue for me, but what are the options to streamline the usage of this for not so savvy users?

I'm currently running 1.9.2 (1) and I'm wanting to update since I'm experiencing the issue described here: #30 however but I know next to nothing about development, so the installation instructions don't really mean much to me. I tried running the command in Windows, and got this:
C:\BarMagnet-master>git submodule update --init --recursive
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

I'm probably doing it wrong though. Is there an updated IPA I can grab, or an official Cydia repo or anything? Sorry to be a pain, I found very little about this in the course of Googling and searching Reddit. Cheers.

I am tried to sideload release ipa using cydia impactor but it gives error message that info.plist missing.

I am able to connect and see the list of all my active things, but when I click the magnet link on a search I get an error message (see attached image). Any idea where to dig deeper to see exactly what's wrong?

I added my transmission instance but it is not listing any torrents. I think its because my Transmission Web UI is at <hostname>/username/transmission/web/ but the app doesn't let me specify this path and just assumes its always at <hostname>/transmission/web/.

There is the "Directory" field with Transmission, but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything - so I'm assuming thats the directory for creating new torrents or something like that - and not the web URL.

I am new to this iphone app compiling and I believe I did it correctly but I am getting following error with my self-signed certificate with my rtorrent/rutorrent set up.
Currently I am using version from cydia which shows error but gets connected but compiled version does not get connected and shows host as offline.

Would be great if I could choose where I wanted the torrent to download to, say from a list of predefined directories.

The app open and then close. (it is verify the app in my phone and was uploaded with Cydia Impactor.)

BarMagnet no longer connects with the latest version of Deluge 3.1.14

The error may be related to Sonarr issue described here: Sonarr/Sonarr#1738

Deluge 3.1.13 does work as an alternative.

my server is running qBittorrent 3.3.16 and deluge 1.3.12 (I've got an NGINX reverse proxy providing HTTPS access to both). BarMagnet works with my deluge set up, but not qBittorrent. BarMagnet throws the error: "Unable to authenticate. No error info provided, are you sure that's the right port?"
I'm 100% certain it's the right port.

I use a self signed SSL certificate that I have trusted in iOS, but the app does not seem to pull this information. I therefore get a red banner with error "Unable to Authenticate" when trying to connect. iOS 10.3.2 on 6s. Please advise, thanks!

"Browse local files for .torrent” is a much needed feature, especially if it works with the native Files app or even Filza for example. Also maybe show a popup after importing the torrent to choose the download location, tags, etc. I think it'll complement the query system we have right now or perhaps even replace it.

Occasionally my tracker sites will log me out and some passwords I have are crazy long. Any way to add a simple password manager to the browser?

Also is there a tutorial anywhere where I can convert the Github files here to an ipa so I can add it thru cydia impactor on a non jailbroken phone.

I was having issues making TestFlight work. From what I read, they are not allowing new developers (teams?) to use the remote debugging api. I have updated my fork to remove TestFlight. If you're seeking contributions, it may be more difficult for users such as myself to issue pull requests since any commits might include the removal of TestFlight...

Hi, I am new to GitHub and all this open source thing but what's the "legal", "right" way of editing this app? I would like to add an attached apple watch app for it, something really simple, just to show the torrent progress or download speed.

Would be useful to have some hints as to how most people (or the recommended) install method of this app in the README. Is there an official cydia repo, or do most people just build it with xcode?

I'd love a mode that launches on magnet URL requests, adds the torrent to the configured server, and then immediately exits. I'm sure the monitoring features are useful for many people, but I use the program strictly to add torrents it would be nice if the program supported that usage.

To allow standard usage and preference editing, the exit-after-add effect would only be triggered when the program was launched with a URL request.

As this is an iOS app I was wondering if there is a method of accessing the context menus in the various Web UIs?

I'd like to be able to set labels from within the Open UI Screen but can't unless I can do some orm of right click.

I tried getting the file missing using the git command but it doesn't seem to work, so I thought if someone could be so cool to send me a ready to install ipa iOS 10 compatible that would be awesome, if it isn't possible at least give me all the file to compile by myself, thanks guys!! Obviously I have a certificate to install IPA!

While QNAP supports the installation of Transmission, its native file download tool is the QNAP Download Station. Can support for this be added to BarMagnet?

After updating to iOS 9 I am unable to add a Torrent for download using Deluge by copying the URL. It is still working under iOS 8. When I copy the URL nothing happens. No error message is given.

after setting BarMagnet to use Transmission, I tried to click on the compass to see the webUI. I receive a "409: Conflict" error. By opening this page in Safari, I notice that the address (http://IP_ADDRESS:PORT/transmission/web) is wrong, to solve the problem, just add a slash at the end (http://IP_ADDRESS:PORT/transmission/web/). In this way, I can access the webUI.

Works great connecting to my deluge instance (although not transmission for some reason).. I've got it handling magnet links and working fine.

However, when starting in safari with a torrent file, and choosing 'copy to barmagnet' from share page, barmagnet opens and then just dies.

Any ideas?

When I select open in BarMagnet, all I see is an application crash and the app does nothing at all if I copy paste the torrent link to the add with URL option. This happened with the Ubuntu Server torrent.

If you add a torrent on a slow connection then go to delete another before that one has loaded in, the data will be loaded in the background and it'll be queued up for the next refresh.

This causes an issue because when you press delete, iOS expects one less row in the view, but you now have the same amount of rows that you had before you pressed delete.

This issue can also manifest on a relatively fast connection if someone else is adding torrents while you delete them.

Been trying for a bit now but can't seem to build BarMagnet at all. I realized by looking at the Terminal that while using the git submodule update --init --recursive it didn't fully install completely.

Aside from that, I'm also getting a constant TestFlight-related error.

It just says fails , the earlier works but does not showing anything in torrent list though it says Host Online
