I see that your application doesn't currently support this, but do you have an idea of how involved it would be to do the inverse of what you're currently doing: Creating a mind map in markdown and then converting it to a freeplane mm?

Superscripts and subscripts

Extension: superscript, subscript

Superscripts may be written by surrounding the superscripted text by ^ characters; subscripts may be written by surrounding the subscripted text by ~ characters. Thus, for example,

H2O is a liquid. 2^10^ is 1024.
If the superscripted or subscripted text contains spaces, these spaces must be escaped with backslashes. (This is to prevent accidental superscripting and subscripting through the ordinary use of ~ and ^.) Thus, if you want the letter P with ‘a cat’ in subscripts, use Pa\ cat, not Pa cat.

I really like using mm2markdown. However I do not understand how I am supposed to generate my bibliography. Am I supposed to provide a path to my .bib file in the metadata and will panic then reference this file in the normal way?

Add a footnote that contains an internal link to the destination node. Use the arrowlink text as the text in the footnote.

In destination node

Nothing

Don't create yaml block if no attributes on the root node.
