Methods

gen(max)

Generate a random number between 0 and max.

random.gen(100) // => 88

gen(min, max)

Generate a random number between min and max.

random.gen(-40, 100) // => -20

random-crypto's Issues

ReferenceError: npm is not defined

Why has "npm" in the code?

maximum range

Not really an issue but I wanted to raise a question.
var buf = crypto.randomBytes(4);

Increasing 4 would increase the maximum range, right?
4 => range = 2^32 -1
5 => range = 2^40 -1
etc

However, with high values javascript will lose some precision and it won't be truly random anymore.

What do you think is the highest value that keeps it truly random ?
