android-blobbox's Issues

Behavior when connection to Blobbox fails

When the connection to the Blobbox fails we currently inform the user through a
toast message.

We could use a dialog that:
- shows the error message
- suggests an action (check that the web console is turned on, check that wifi
is turned on if on local lan, etc)
- allows to:
  - retry to connect to the box
  - go back to settings
  - dismiss the message

Also:
In the settings page we should allow the user to launch a connection test even
if no setting has been changed.

Add remote control key UI with text field for text input

Provide a UI with buttons for remote control keys and a text field so that
virtual keyboard and voice input can be used to send text to the blobbox.

We will need to support different screen resolutions and orientations

We could divide the keys into multiple "tabs" (media playback, numeric,
navigation, ...) and/or have a huge scrollable page with all buttons.

Links to remote PDF files are always handled by blobbox remote, user cannot view/download on phone

Some users report that links to PDF files are always handled by the blobbox
remote applciation:

69ab7c4d7dd7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Rodolfo suggests sending mail to self with PDF attachment
2. Silver's report suggests clicking on http link to PDF

Expected behaviour is for phone to present user with list of applications to
use to handle PDF (including local download).

Silver is using Dolphin browser - this may not be relevant, but I recall Pan
having problems with a pre-release of blobbox remote which were resolved by
uninstalling Dolphin.

Allow configuring web console port

Currently the application connects to port 80 of the configured Blobbox ip
address or hostname.

If the Blobbox web console is exposed on the internet through the "virtual
server" feature of a home router, the public port may be other than 80.

We should allow to configure the web console port.
