Install

Marmalade

M-x package-install RET proxy-mode RET 

Manual

• Add directory containing proxy-mode.el file to load-path in your ~/.emacs file. For example:

  (add-to-list 'load-path "/path/to/proxy-mode/")
      

• To load a package, add:

  (require 'proxy-mode)
      

• To enable the mode globally, add:

  '(proxy-mode t)
      

• Optionally, run make to byte-compile the file.

Customize

• Customize using:

  M-x customize-group RET proxy-mode RET
      

Proxy Services

If nil, add proxy host under this variable. Protocol field can be http, https, ftp, socks etc. Host field can be proxy-hostname or an IP address with PORT number separated by colon( : ).

For example:

Protocol	Host
http	proxy.example.com:3128

If Protocol is no_proxy, enter hostname or IP-address in a Host field. For example:

Protocol	Host
no_proxy	*.example.com
no_proxy	127.0.0.1
