My name is Peter Rotich - I am a serial hustler; Software Engineer, CEO / Founder and an Open Source Developer.

I am Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Enhancesoft, a software company based in Alexandria, Louisiana (now fully remote). I founded Enhancesoft with a mission of creating simple yet elegant tools to get customer support out of a shared email inbox and off post-it notes. Our products include osTicket and SupportSystem.

⚡ Fun fact: I was born and raised in rural Kenya and grew up in a small village with no electricity or running water! I did not use a computer until college.

User Location

This is not an "issue", but I do see how using the built in GPS can help with accurate tickets being created.. and then also making it easier for a member to locate the person later.. as flood waters can be higher than street signs, using GPS would be more accurate and precise.

I guess it would require a custom form that allows for longitude and latitude text inputs, and then you can use some javascript to fill in that information for the end user. See https://github.com/c0nfus3d/CajunNavy-osTicket/blob/develop/include/client/open.inc.php#L74

Not sure how you would determine which help topic needs the coordinates, so it's not always trying to get the location data if not needed..

Just thinking through code and comments. Thoughts?
