opam-switch-mode's Issues

rename?

You should maybe rename this file. òpam-mode` would probably be more accurate for a mode for editing opam files.

MELPA package

Feature request: It would be great if this package is available via MELPA so we can install it via use-package.

tureg+merlin support

I tried to use it with Merlin+tuareg, but it fails to find ocamlmerlin binary which was not installed in the original switch but is in the switch I have switched to.

Bug: `opam-minor-mode` cannot be activated more than once in a given session

I've just tried using the opam-switch-mode, which worked fine for the first activation time, but not for another cycle of deactivation/activation.

Steps to reproduce

  • Using Emacs 27.1 on Debian 11, and opam 2.1.0
  • When I add (load "~/REDACTED/opam-switch-mode.el") in my ~/.emacs
  • And restart emacs
  • And do in any buffer M-x opam-switch-mode RET thrice,
  • Then I get the following error in the *Messages* buffer:

opsw--menu-items: List contains a loop: (["4.12.1" (opsw--set-switch "4.12.1") :active t :help "select opam switch "4.12.1""] ["reset" (opsw--set-switch "") :active opsw--saved-env :help "reset to state when emacs was started"] ["4.12.1" (opsw--set-switch "4.12.1") :active t :help "select opam switch "4.12.1""] ["reset" (opsw--set-switch "") :active opsw--saved-env :help "reset to state when emacs was started"] . #2)

FWIW, I have:

$ opam switch

# switch compiler description
→ 4.12.1 ocaml-base-compiler.4.12.1 4.12.1
   system ocaml-system.4.11.1 system

@hendriktews do you have some idea on what's going on?
