Empty backup file

I implemented the backup and restore code in my App and it worked fine on my Huawei smartphone android 7.0, but it DIDN'T work on my Xiaomi Mi 9 android 9.0 smartphone. It created the .db file but i was empty. What may be the problem?

Question

There is no issue here, just a question. Is the code of the new Drive Rest API that Google has recommended to use before 12-2019?
