Request to Add Customizable Result Limit Option

Could you please consider adding an option to customize the "Limit Results" value?

I'm using your software to search for active servers for 7 Days to Die, but the current limit of 6,930 results falls short of the total number of servers available (over 8,000).

I would be very grateful for any assistance in resolving this issue.

Playing "NVIDIA.SteamLauncher" according to the Steam friends messenger

Is there a way to avoid this, other than changing Steam friends status (e.g. to "invisible") ?

If not, could this be changed in a future version of the SteamServerBrowser ?

Edit: A work-around is to start the SteamServerBrowser before Steam.

Super ghost player

Sometimes i have a player with empty name at players list. Didn't payed much attention before i clicked "copy name" on this line. Then i have got an exception: http://imgur.com/lBI9LXB And there is no player with such play time on this server if i checking ingame browser. IP of the server: 104.238.176.249:27961

App crashing on server query cancellation

When I click "find servers" button to fetch Left 4 Dead 2 server list via hl2master.steampowered.com, and then immediately cancel the operation by clicking "stop" (or switching tabs, closing the window), the app throws an error:
System.NullReferenceException: "Reference of object is not pointed to an instance."(My translation)
on ServerBrowser.ServerQueryLogic.Cancel()
...

Confirmed on Windows 7 and Windows 10, both with .Net Framework 4.7 Client profile installed.

How do I launch this in Wine or CrossOver?

I installed Steam and Quake Live in CrossOver, and then I subscribed to the SteamServerBrowser. It downloaded correctly and the ServerBrowser.exe is in the workshop folder but I don't know how to launch it. Double-clicking it does nothing.

Any suggestions?

Not updating after 2.42

I downloaded the Steam Server Browser thru the steam workshop for quake live.

It always updated fine, but now it's stuck at this revision. I see there are new releases on the website.

I tried unsubscribing / re-subscribing to the workshop item.

Location isn't displayed for any server

How can I fix this? I already tried renaming "locations.txt". It contains 5 IPs, none of which are in the server list.

Filter by server rule

Would it be possible to implement a feature to filter by a specified server rule? For example, only show servers with sv_cheats set to 1.

columns not restored on restart

upon restarting, the columns are restored to their default state

drop 500 server limit (cs:go)

don't know about the other games, but for cs:go there is a 500 cap on the number of servers returned

can that cap be removed?

"Find Buddy" list, empty entries.

Maybe a bit unwanted behaviour: i am able to add an empty entry by just pressing "+". It took time before i even realised, why my bdy list was always equal to amount of current players on the server.

Socket exception

It's something minor, but I thought I'd mention it. Clicking "Show Options" and then the + button next to "Game server: " without entering any text in the field results in a socket exception, and the program crashing.

Alive players disappearing

It seems that alive players now disappearing. Random amount, but it is about 25-40% of all current players. Even restarting of SSB does not help. They are just showing up back after a while. I have 2.24 version installed.

empty server list

was fooling around with selecting skins, then clicked the button to use the default and the skin did not reset so i restarted the program and now the server list is empty

i looked for where the it is storing settings so i could reset them, but couldn't find where they are stored

server name formatting

it seems some server admins are prefixing the server name with spaces, possibly unintentionally, or possibly so they're at the top of the list - either way, would like to request stripping all beginning spaces from server names so they sort properly

What is the number in brackets next to status 'ok' column ?

favorites tab

please consider adding a 'favorites' tab to bookmark servers

Some skins don't fit into the layout

This is low priority, but anyway these skins are affected:

• Office 2019
• Office 2016
• Office 2013

What happens is that the server-side filters have 1 to 1,5 lines height instead of 2 lines.

pmove_ cvars

Would be great if this tool will show pmove_ cvars in "rules" tab. So we can sure if it is a classic, PQL or new QL ruleset server.

text blurry on high DPI display

app doesn't seem to support high dpi.

Error requesting server list from master server

Specific case: Tried to use Team Fortress 2 tab (worked on clean install, changed some settings) error on the bottom bar says https://i.imgur.com/77zMgMo.png

Now all buttons do not work and popup the error message https://i.imgur.com/lGe1mlx.png (This error is when hitting the X button to close it. Had to force close using task manager.)

Found a solution by changing the TF2 master server to the alternate: hl2master.steampowered.com:27011

Then it at least did not lock up the program.

Expected behavior: Program recognizes a bad XML document and uses the alternate Master Server.

apply filters without refresh

i can't believe that this is the only HL2/Steam server browser that i've found that supports CS:GO (not a fan of the newer HLSW browser) - seems very odd, but a HUGE thanks for your work!!!

anyway, i humbly ask that you consider applying filters (map, include, exclude) in real-time as they are keyed in without refreshing the whole list

I would recommend prompting users to provide their own key, and storing it.

It's great that you included the Steam web API though, please keep it. :)

title explains it i think - it appears that even when the auto-refresh interval is '0' that it still auto-refreshes

might also suggest renaming 'reload servers' to simply 'refresh'

L4D2 Master server

I am in China, want to play on China servers, Master server is 115.238.147.238:27011, but it does not work, always get valve servers

filtering enhancement

for the quick-filtering row on top of the server list, i think it would be better to parse the entire name for the string entered - in other words, the default should be 'contains' instead of 'equals' - at least for all columns that contain text strings

example - if i want to find all servers containing 'abc' in the name, none would be found if the name doesn't begin with 'abc'

Error requesting server list from master server: Timeout

The program was working fine. Then it starts throwing this message every time when hitting F4 (requesting new server list from steam master server). Previously, I could override this problem by changing my master server address from hl2master.steampowered.com:27011 to <Steam Web API>, which required getting an API key from Steam; I, however, lost this key and can't make a new one due to personal reasons; my only alternative is to use direct addresses. But for some reason hl2master.steampowered.com:27011 keeps throwing the Error requesting server list from master server: Timeout error.

Nothing at all changed on my system since the time it was working fine to when it stopped working (no windows update, no new firewall/connection settings. I am not sure what the cause may be.

I tried deleting the entire folder where the exe is and reinstalling from scratch, the problem persists. Are there any registry keys or other folders storing app settings that I should also delete to ensure a full reinstall?

Manual adding servers

Would be nice to see manual adding of servers with ip:port to favorites. Or i just don't found this feature? Quake Live servers.

ArgumentNullException on loading quake live server list

app still seems usable if you just leave the dialog open, but dismissing the error dialog closes the app.
