Here are some resources, links, and answers to some of the questions you might find useful when it comes to the GRE.


General

Registering for the test

Price to sign up - currently $195

List of sections of the test and how long it takes

  • Overall - 7-8 sections - 4+ hours
  • 2 Analytical Writing Sections - 30 min each
  • 2 Verbal Sections - 30 min each
  • 2 Math Sections - 35 min each
  • 1 Unscored (Experimental) Section - 30/35 min
    • Randomly chosen section that may appear in any order after the two writing sections
    • Does not count towards your score
    • Do not try to guess what section this is!
  • 1 Research Section - 30/35 min
    • When included will be the last section of the test
    • You will be told explicitely this is the research section
      • You could just answer C for all the questions without any consequences

Test Scoring

Sending your scores

  • Allowed to send your scores to 4 institutions on test day (included in test fee)
  • To send any additional scores will be $27 per institution

Getting your Scores

  • Unofficial scores will be reported at the end of the test if you decicde to report your scores
  • Official scores will be reported 10-15 days after your test date
