Hello,
The plugin adds in it's style sheet the following rule:
*, ::before, ::after { box-sizing: border-box; }
which causes layout issues for the site.
Could you remove if for the next release?
Thanks
Dan
It would improve this plugin if the background images could be treated as images.
Some design elements require background images to be used, but these are removed with the high contrast and negative contrast options so they do not show at all which can make the site content 'disappear' when its an image tile that flips on hover to shop text, there's no image to see to try to hover / click / touch.
Great WordPress Plugin!
(Test on WP 4.9.6)
I have found only 4 points to make it even better:
1.) If I use the Grayscale option, the menu position is not fixed when scrolling on Firefox 60.0.1 - 64 Bit
(All others hold the fixed position. And the problem does not occur on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.)
2.) "Reset" has no translation option (For example: "Zurücksetzen" in German)
3.) Light Background is good, but I miss an additional "No Backgroundimage" option to set ONLY the background to white (disable backgroundimage!) as in "Light background" BUT leave all foreground colours as original designed.
4.) Closing the menu with click on icon works, but ... additional closing options would be helpful.
a) "Close" / "Schließen" (GER) option in sidemenu OR an (X) button?
b) Maybe closing menu also by click on webpage? (That's what I intuitively tried before I found out that I must click on the icon again.)
Hello,
When clicking on the High Contrast button - the screen turns black, but the text doesn't appear in yellow. Resulting in no text at all being showed.
You can see this issue in my site:

Great plugin. I would like the option to have the window icon hidden. And when the user clicks on a shortcode it will open the navigation. This can be done with a shortcode or a html onclick link, but i cannot work it out.
Thanks
I find it very strange that an accessibility plugin itself is not accessible. The default font size in the toggle is way too small and can't be changed in the plugin settings. Also the width of the toogle box cannot be changed. Got it working now with custom code, but this solution is not clean (it took a lot of !importants).
I found an issue when using Internet Explorer 11. There is excessive white spacing within the containers. I believe this is because of the icons not having a height assigned to them. For example:
#pojo-a11y-toolbar .pojo-a11y-toolbar-overlay ul.pojo-a11y-toolbar-items li.pojo-a11y-toolbar-item a svg{height: 10px;}
Can't access to https://wpaccessibility.io/
On a text-based WordPress page created by WordPress's default visual editor (not the visual editor provided by the theme), resize text is only enlarging the titles and subtitles.
For those of us who want to only use a single Accessibility option, allow for the toggle button to be:
a) one-click so the effect is toggled on/off without opening a menu
b) assign an icon to each option, which would display as the toggle button when only 1 option is selected
Alternatively(and more complex): Allow this one-click icon toggle behavior to be extended to allow the placement of individual buttons on the page, and they each perform their intended function in one click. Perhaps with the option of displaying the text beside/below the icon.
Extending the idea further: Allow for basic positioning either at the group or individual level.
Result would be a row of individual buttons/labeled buttons that the user could place into the appropriate space on their layout, such as within the site's navigation area/dropdown.
Edit: Issue #38 would be a great way to deploy the above so it pops in anywhere, and doesn't require any positioning options at the plugin level.
i am using this plugin as one of my project.
and I will need chinese locale support.
i can help to do the translation, what is the best way for me to contribute the translation locale on this project?
thanks.
We require the option of changing the icon used for each option.
also the icons need alt text applied.
My client doesn't like the 3 icons available. They especially don't like the wheelchair as it's for a website meant to help young people with mental health concerns. They have provided me with an eye icon that they feel better reflects accessibility. Can you tell me whether there is a way to add this Eye icon. Regards, Alex
I have created a website for Disabled people, Users who have Parkinson's Disease. One-click-Accessibility works very well on WordPress. We also have STATIC pages, It would be fantastic if One-Click-Accessibility worked exactly the same (so no learning conflict) on the static pages.
Could this feature be added please.
Hello. I wanted to comment on the tool bar icon. I think if there was an option to have the icon at the bottom of the screen the plugin would be more robust. Currently, if I place the icon on the bottom of the screen (off set from top), the menu features of the toolbar are not in view once open. I do not know how to code and currently building a simple wordless site but I would like to add this plugin to my site. Could you please advise how I can have the icon at the bottom of the page and have the menu open above the icon instead of below. Thank you.
Is this a bug?
Hey! First thanks for the plugin! It is great and does its job, but I'm having problems with the mobile version. It does not open accessibility options on click. Could you help me with a possible solution?
A wheelchair is often used as accessibility icon, but in case of website-accessibility it is simply wrong. (In fact, sitting in a wheelchair does not restrict the use of a website in any way.)
But your plugin is designed to help visually impaired people!
So I suggest an additional icon as option to select: eyeglasses
It would be nice to have the ability to place the accessibility button towards the bottom of a page and have the menu show above instead of below. It's weird how many clients want to have this option instead of only being able to place at top because the menu only opens down.
I do not know if there is such a possibility but I ask anyway
It is possible to make the accessibility menu opened by an a unique CSS that i enter to specific element (like icon)?
thanks
For some reason, the skip to content link won't skip the menu and go to my content for Oxygen Builder. I labeled the div with the id content and linked it to the main content of the site but it won't work.
If I use the Help Link, the Feedback Title is also shown (with an empty link).
But this two items should be usable separate.
I would like to know how to translate One Click Accesibility?
I tried it with Loco translate and WPML but this does not work..
Looking for Dutch translation.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
from Joris
Hi and thank u for your great plugin. I want to use One click Accessibility with Hueman Theme but when i enable the plugin it breaks menu and a part of header.
The toolbar icon is 52px and after enabling i see a gap in header and menu (i think the same height).
please check: https://dide-new.lef.sch.gr/
When i deactivate plugin everything comes back to normal.
Thank u very much
Stumbled upon that issue here : https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-in-svg-icon-code/#post-13794322
Looking at the code of /pojo-accessiblity/includes/pojo-a11y-frontend.php, in the icons declaration (around line 219), there are a couple of double-quotes like so :
""></path>'
when it should be :
"></path>'
Hi,
An accessible website needs to be W3C valid.
We have some warnings with W3C validator tool on a website using your plugin because of some HTML5 redundant syntax like : type="text/css"
property in <style>
tag, type="text/javascript"
in <script>
tag and role="navigation"
property in <nav>
tag.
It can be fixed by merging #55 and #56.
NB: You have also some W3C errors with your demo website:
https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fwpaccessibility.io%2F
Hey, just like in title. I cannot change the location of the icon. Could someone help me?
My test site is saintpep.vot.pl
Regards,
Kamil.
Is this plugin compliance with wcag or any other standard?
The widget should use semantic markup and be accessible itself. This is a tool and it has functionalities. It should not be built with <nav>
and <a>
elements. Instead, it should be built as a menu
with semantic <button>
for each menuitem
.
<nav>

<a>

Hi,
I absolutely love this plugin.
A couple of features that would really give it an edge over other plugins:
Many thanks
As per title, readable font makes icons that rely on fontawesome disappear, maybe exclude the 'fa' class ?
I have uploaded this plugin and it is working on desktop but not on mobile. It is not working on either ios or Android on my site. Is this a known issue or a conflict on my site possibly or a setting? I am using it through Wordpress.
Incredibly useful plugin! The slide-out toggle requires the user to re-focus in order to see the new position of the toggle button, and then must click that area to close the toggle. Slightly cumbersome, and would be aided by allowing the user to dismiss the open menu by clicking elsewhere on the page.
Disabling the high contrast toolbar item on this page: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=accessibility-toolbar does not disable the high contrast option.
Same for “negative contrast”.
Is it possible to use this without Wordpress?
We tried and extracting only relevant parts and some basic test is working but will this be officially supported with relevant instructions?
Hi there, I hope you can help.
I am using the WordPress plugin and I love it! I am however having a problem on page load; it seems to load it for a couple of seconds without css, do you know of any way that I can fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Matt.
Expanded and horizontal bar fixed at the top of the website.
Is there a possibility to make the options bar available at the top of the site? I say about the accessibility bar being expanded with the options visible, without the need to click the button to display the options for the bar.

The pop out menu works on my site when I'm logged into the admin, but is disabled when I'm logged out. I turned off the firewall and cleared the cache and still no luck.
Offset setting do not work regardless of the number applied. Can you fix? Also, would be nice to have option of bottom left and bottom right, with offset controls.
i discover an issue.
it seems that there is a broken link.
XXXX/X#content
a id="pojo-a11y-skip-content" class="pojo-skip-link pojo-skip-content" tabindex="1" accesskey="s" href="#content">דילוג לתוכן</a
i cant find this link in front end, but when i do ctrl+U, i can see the link.
what can i do?
Hello,
For a specific need, I need to add a pictogram in addition to the 3 pictograms already present.
It's an eye like in this example : https://www.culture.gouv.fr/var/culture/storage/images/_aliases/medium/media/politiques-ministerielles/developpement-culturel/culture-et-handicap/images/pictogrammes-2015/deficients-visuels-rvb/1390381-1-fre-FR/Deficients-visuels-RVB.jpg.
It has to be white on a blue background. I am attaching the corresponding PNG and SVG files.
How can I do ?
Thanks for your help.
Eric
Would be great if we could add classes to ignore for increase / decrease fonts or somehow set a max font size for some elements. There's occasions where increasing the font will break menu or uglify the site too much.
Hello ,
I have tired everything but skip link content not showing in safari ?any idea on how to fix it .

I am specifically only trying to remove high contrast, because negative contrast provides a greater contrast for the colors of my theme. If someone wants to do the reverse, high contrast is also enabled regardless of changing the setting to disabled.
Hello
My pages are scored lower than necessary becasue the SVG icons are missing a title and description attribute. Its worth a couple of percent in the overall page score on webaccessibility tests. I've manually added them now and my page went from 95% to 97%.
Please add these as it seems an accessibility plugin is doing inaccessible things
When you check the website via mobile browser the widget does not work. It work just fine on desktop not seeing what is causing the issue.
