Very low .webm video quality

Any ideas how to improve video output quality for .webm both the slides and the speaker videos are pretty low quality.

generated xges doesn't render opening credits, pitivi crashes

It seems some ges-launch-1.0 doesn't render it for some reason:

I've implemented the fix described in issue-741507162; the presentation doesn't inlude deskshare.webm.

Output of download.py when downloading /deskshare/deskshare.webm is now: HTTPError: 404. In my outdir deskshare.webm is 0 bytes.

I would like to prepend and append some static images to video (each 3 seconds). In the end it should be as follows:

Can you please give me some suggestions how to implement this feature? I am trying to cut videos from open source conference.

I tried to add those images using ffmpeg, but the audio/video synchronization was broken in final file.

I decided not to insert slides when start time is a same as end time. I am not sure if this is a good solution.

IntervalTree doesn't like when start and end are the same.

I'm trying out a big batch of videos and found some that call t.addi(start, end, [(index, shape)]) where start and end are the same value.

ValueError: IntervalTree: Null Interval objects not allowed in IntervalTree: Interval(3045100000000, 3045100000000, [(30, <Element '{http://www.w3.org/2000/svg}g' at 0x7ff8042cff90>)])

I've tired to solve it on mine by just adding a "if start == end: continue" just before but I'm not sure if that's a good fix. Some of these take a very long time to process.

make-xges fails - 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'text'

Option to disable webcam video and centre slides

I have many videos where the speaker has disabled the webcam feed so we just get a white box. I have tried setting webcam-size to 0 and that does hide it but the slides are still on the left side of the video rather than centred.

Broken PNG

Hello. It's a nice repo but there's a problem. I can see the webcam at the top right of the screen. But the rest of the screen is black. I wondered if it was related to my recording and I tried a few other recordings and the situation is the same. When I looked at the image files created later, I saw that they were corrupt. There is no problem with SVGs, I checked them. I thought that the _render_slide method was causing corrupted PNG files, so I made some changes here, but I was not successful. Your help would be great.

Adding cursor and vectors

Some notes on what I have tried so far. I am not familiar with gstreamer and have only dabbled with python before so I am likely barking up the wrong tree on these things.

I have managed to parse the cursor.xml and make another layer which displays a png of a red dot in the right place at the right time. It takes a long time to process and something in the default compression settings causes a lot of artifacts. Also forget about importing it into Pitivi.

For vectors I thought I would look at using cairo and rsvg to create pngs of each element which are then added to a new layer. Hit a bump there as rsvg doesn't seem to accept an svg string, only a file or "raw data".
