validates_as_email_address's Issues

allow_nil and wrong_message options have no effect

julien ramel opened this issue

I’m using the plug in on a model with this line:

validates_as_email_address :email, :allow_nil=>:true, :wrong_format => ’Invalid Email Address’.t

Validatons works fine to check the email format, but the "allow_nil" and "wrong_format" don’t seem to have any effect, submitting an empty email gives me:

There were problems with the following fields:

* Email Invalid Email Address
* Email is too short (minimum is 3 characters)

(rails 2.0.5 project)
