mouse's Issues

KiCad

Could the Schematics be posted in a KiCad compatible format?

Hardware Update?

It seems like the mechanical hardware files here don't match what I got in the pre-assembled ploopy mouse I purchased from ploopy.co around August of 2021.

Could the files here be updated? Ideally each revision would be available, at least as a git tag.

Thanks, can't wait to print a replacement part so I can get back to using my favorite mouse!

Bad link in Wiki to Schematic

The PCB Wiki page has two links which point to a nonexistent Main branch instead of the Master branch. (both are links to the schematics).

Easiest solutions I see are:

  • Renaming Master branch to Main
  • Reformat the link to go to Master

I also decided to check all the other links in the wiki and noticed about half of the QMK links go to the beta docs and the other half to the main docs. In the past, the beta docs were identical, but better formatted, however, a while ago I had problems with the beta docs being out of date in relation to the main docs.

Choice of more standard-sized switches

I really like the concept of both the Ploopy mouse and trackball.

But especially since it’s OSHW, I’d probably like to modify it to my liking.

One of the things that I noticed with my mice is that I prefer other switches for the buttons (and wheel encoders). And I was surprised that Ploopy uses a different size switches than all the mice I’ve had so far.

Would it be possible to easily replace the switches (and encoder) with more standard format ones?

(e.g. here’s a pretty good guide for different switches and another one for different encoders)

Wiki & files are missing

Hello. I've just received hardware to assembly a ploopy by myself and found out that the project wiki is missing. Where can I find wiki now?
