scient sent me a copy of the NSIS script he made for installing his AC2 patch. I'd like to try and get it working for ACU as a whole.

Collect more maps. As many possible interesting ones. #3 related.

BUncle is putting together a fun little mod showcase page and I suggested including ACU there. I also suggested that BUncle could maybe write some prose for the ACU readme explaining how to use the factions and scenarios.

But obviously we don't want to do either of those things unless you're happy with that :) Let me know publicly or privately how you feel! You can contact me privately at my_username_here@gmail.com

The factionpack does not include some of the more recent factions created, such as Dio's alternate original seven. I'll need to go over and grab the rest+make sure we have the most recent versions of some we already have.

Including compatible versions of all text files needed to make them work.

It'd be good to have them in the catalogue so people can easily search for them.

Set up templates for displaying pictures of maps and some categorization stuff. Add a bunch of maps.

Make sure they all load properly, organize them vaguely sanely.

The two should be the same, use judgement/balance to pick which is correct.

Current plan for classification system:

Compatible: These factions are, for the most part, thematically compatible with the original 14. They may not be perfect fits, but then again a lot of the Crossfire factions weren't perfect fits either.
Alternate: These factions do not attempt to fit in with the original 14, but they do attempt to present and explore an ideology in a serious manner.
Novelty: Joke factions. Not compatible with the original 14, and are not serious attempts at exploring an ideology.
Crossover: Factions based explicitly on other media.

With a line in each faction file, and the big alphax list of custom factions sorted into those four categories.

Some extra tools may be useful enough to be worth including, but I'm not certain which will have enough general use to qualify.

This allows the datalinks to be updated directly from the wiki, and will encourage more improvements to both while making things easier for contributors.

Their files were missed from .gitignore, so they're being tracked. Trying to avoid as much official stuff as possible, so let's drop it. I need to learn how to properly untrack a file and sort that out.

Got Alteria Centauri, but there's a few more. At least recent GOTMs, and Darsnan's got a few more hanging around.

All have different changes and need combining properly.
